My alarm on my yamati malfunctioned and Now won't start

Have you tried locking and unlocking the driver door with the key ?

might have to disconnect the radio too.

the valet key doesnt have a transponder chip in it, so it will allow physical turning of keyways and operations, but will not disable the alarm and often wont disable the immobilizer.

sorry to say i think you will need to get an autolocksmith , or main dealer to get you a functioning key with transponder chip mapped to your cars rfid system that will allow alarm to be enabled /disabled

Your alarm being on is probably also an anti thieft device. Disable or reset the alarm, your bile will probably start. You need to learn more about your motorcycle my friend.

take it to best buy, they do it for $50 for alarm removal or make friends that works there. I would just buy an aftermarket and get it replaced by them

if after market yes but u maybe able to get a new remote also u may want to think bout changing the key cylinders it would be about 25-40 dollars than no lock out if its not aftermarket dealer maybe able to get u remote if after market u ave to pull whole unit out

The security system does not disable the starter, it only disables fuel to the engine. In the fuse block under the hood, locate the STARTER relay. Place your hand on this relay and see if it clicks while someone else turns the key to start...if the relay is ok then the starter itself is faulty. Good luck, i hope this helps.

This sounds like a bad alarm module, the doors unlock but the alarm doesnt shut down, so it wont let you start it because its not shutting down, the light flash and door unlock put starter disable and horn stay active, most good alarms have liftime module warranties, if you take it back to who installed it and ask them or if it was already in the car when you bought it then you will need to disable or replace it. hope this helps, also to disable it just trun key on then open a open try key off and within 10 sec push the button under the dash its a small red button this will put it in vallet mode.

Look for some sort of toggle switch associated with the alarm system. (something small similar to this [http://www.mouser.com/images/ckcomponents/lrg/7000_toggle_series_new_SPL.jpg]) They call this a valet switch and it's located somewhere hidden and out of the way - usually under the dash - but still in an accessible spot. This basically disables the alarm. Typically, you'd turn the key on (but engine off) then flip the switch. This will put the car into valet mode and basically disable it. There is also usually some sort of LED light associated with the system - again typically blinking when the system is armed - but it will be solid once in valet mode. The clicking you are hearing is the relay that is triggering things. I'm assuming someone got tired of the alarm sounding and got rid of the siren it or clipped the wires to it - hence why your only hearing the clicking and seeing the light flash.
