SOURCE: My 2003 ducati monster tail light is out. Could

If its the fuse would probably put out the other lights as well.I would first check the bulb. Do you have the brake light working?? It may just be the bulb fitting into the holder. Sometimes they get a little dirty or corroded so the contacts dont make properly.

If you can get hold of an electrical tester or test light, place it on the contacts with lights on and see if you get 12V to the chassis. Check both terminals (light and brake).

Fusebox is usually around or under the seat.

many things can cause this ,if you change your seating postion ( lean forward / move backwards does it go away?....

front forks loose at triple tree,
new front / rear tire more aggressive tread than before,
front wheel loose,
worn head bearings,
bent rim,
loose spokes if any,
wrong tire pressures,
loose handle bars
,some new addition to change the handling of the bike , rear seat rest etc,

SOURCE: Where is the oil drain plug on 2007 Heritage

Look at the bottom of the oil tank from the right side of the bike. You'll see one hose or pipe that goes downwards towards the back of the transmission. The hose will follow the frame and come out way down low on the backside of and slightly under the transmission. There is a plug in the hose or pipe. Take the plug out and the oil tank will drain.

To change the oil, drain the tank, change the oil filter, refill with three quarts of oil in the tank. You also have oil in your primary that should be changed every 5000 miles or so, and the transmission serviced at the same interval as the primary.

To drain the oil on the primary, there is a drain plug under the primary case at the very rear of the case. Remove this to drain the case. Refill the primary through the derby cover. Fill with oil until the level is just to the bottom edge of the clutch spring. 38-42 ounces of oil. Do not overfill or the clutch will drag and make finding neutral with the engine running impossible to find.

To drain the transmission, there is a small plug on the bottom side of the chrome cover on the right side of the transmission. Remove the plug, drain the tranny, and refill through the large plug that takes a hex key in the chrome cover. 20-24 ounces of transmission lube.

Good Luck
Steve

2003 Ultra. My radio and CD player speakers will only come on at half volume adjustment resulting in the speakers being to loud. When I adjust the speakers below 50% no volume is produced. .

Same thing happened to my bosses gold wing, we tore that thing apart, finally, found a fuse in line, buried deep in the guts of the fairing, it was blown, replaced it , the volume came back on no problem. The fuse wasn't even listed in the owner's manual. Check it out.

My amp will sometimes turn off. how do i take out fuses?

It's possible it's over heating?, make sure the speakers impedance is right for the amp's capacity. a 300w 8ohm speaker will draw 600w from a 4 ohm source. What amp and speakers are you running? are all connections tight?

Hope this helps

How to wire a tach on 05 heritage softail

Locate & route Black lead to ground / 2004-later softail: On the frame strap under the seat directly in front of the battery.

Locate & route the pink lead to Signal / For 2004 & later FXST/C/I The #3 cavity in the connector {39b} on the back of the speedometer. The socket terminal on the signal (pk) lead fits the #3 cavity.

Locate & route the Orange and white lead to power / Ummm.. it's saying for 2004 and later to adapt to the fuse block For earlier [ For 1996 to 2003 softail: locate the power lead (o/w) in the tail lamp pin connector {7a} under the seat behind the right rear corner of he battery.] "here you are looking to run it to a fused line, not directly to power/battery" I hope this helped.

Fuse blows

Both 3 or 4 amp slow blow fuses are suitable replacements for the 3.125 amp subwoofer fuse.

It could be that the subwoofer is blowing the fuse because the one you installed was not slow blow.

But, more likely is the subwoofer has a short in the power supply which is causing the fuse to blow.
