heyii there is a shaft coming ut of the engine crank that connects to your transmission shaft which drives your gears and hence wheels.. so your 2nd gear must have worn out and for that reason the gear isn't working well.. get your gear box opened and check the gear.. you have a clog must be something in the tank when you shake it it is letting fuel get thru clean out the tank and put some gas in it add some seafoam and this should get it clean the seafoam will not hurt the motor it cleans everything

That is a sure sign that the carbs need cleaning. The low speed idle jets are plugged up and the choke cuts back the air and allows more fuel in the mix. There are 6 carbs on the Valkyrie so have someone who knows what they are doing clean and sync them.

Does the bike feel like it is jumping abit? if it does you need to get your gears re synced. can be done at any motorcycle garage but can be costly :)

I just got a 94 honda cbr 900. nutral light stays on when shifted into gear and the bike will not move

check the neutral switch(should be down beside gearshift shaft)check the wires if one is broken or disconnected it wont let the clutch release while the engine is running..hope this helps
