Ran out or fuel a couple of weeks ago and now bike keeps cutting out
SOURCE: I have a '99 FZS Fazer 600, and it won't start.
i had same problem turned out to be electrical issue check all your wiring connections under the seat and under your fuel tank and if there all fine try checking that your fuel pump motor is running mine wasnt because of damp on my wiring connectors. when you turn on the ignition the bike should click a few times and your fuel pump should come on look under your tank looks like this with 2 tubes running from your fuel tank http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/yamaha-fzs-600-fazer-00-fuel-pump_W0QQitemZ250559832283QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=&rvr_id=&cguid=6d2769071260a0e2048322d3fffcee00
this needs to be running or you will be riding the bike on gravity fed fuel and as soon as you open the bike up you will not get enough to the engine and will cut out hope this helps
SOURCE: Hi i have a Daelim
Sounds like you have some kind of wiring short.Look at all wiring harnesses to see if there is a wear spot on wire sheild.Somwhere on that bike somthing is grounding out.Check wires from battery to motor and make sure there not bad.Sounds like the person who owened it before you was having electrical problems that why it has never started with starter. And now the problem has stopped bike completly.Do yourself a favor to rule out a spark problem.Remove sparkplug from engine, put sparkplug back in wire boot.Holding rubber boot touch and hold spark plug to head of bike.Make sure kill switch and key are in run position and kick bike over.See if sparkplug has crisp blue spark. If so you have a fuel problem. Then i would remove and clean carborator. But this definitly sounds like a short in wiring somwhere.Your gonna have to trace all wires to make sure there isnt a ground.Good Luck...
SOURCE: cbr 125 choke problem
It sounds like the choke line may not have been routed correctly when the new one was installed. Remove the gas tank and check to see that the line is not being stretched anywhere along the way AND that the gas tank when re-installed is not stretching the line. The line may have been kinked when installed. Look at the mechanical movement of the choke at the carb. Does it operate freely? Remove the air filter and look inside the center of the carb, (you may need to use a small mirror for this), does it look like the choke is opening and closing properly when the choke is moved on and off?

if you turn a motorbike tank into reserve..
the patrol wont go to a little filter.. soo.. thats the splutter and so..
SOURCE: Yamaha TW 200 starts but won't run.
If the bike has sat for a long period of time without being run - the gas that is sitting in the carb(s) will shellac.. Then the carb(s) would need to be cleaned and "rebuilt"..
