I have a 1988 125 cc TZR when the airbox is on it reaches 7,000 does not excelorate further but splutters! Checked jets-spot on. Took off airbox running perfect! Done a plug chop with airbox off colour...

hi.
sounds like you need a new air filter... inside the air box is either a paper element that needs replacing, or possibly a sponge element that you may be able to clean if it is not too bad. you will have to check the service manual for cleaning details, or just replace the sponge itself to be sure.
the dirty filter is restricting airflow through the airbox.
hope this helps.

Have a 2000 kawasaki ninja zx6 bike spudders .. so I took off airbox and filter and it runs fine . Then I just took off filter and put airbox and then it sputters again . Any suggestions ? Thanx

G'day,
I have a suggestion.
It worked with no airbox( airbox lid I guess you mean).
Then I would think that your problem would almost certainly be a blockage or restriction to the air flow entering the airbox intake.
Look in the airbox, with the lid off-And see where the air enters the box- the air ducts on each side.
Make sure these are clear of any obstruction.
Check the air intake vent in the front of the fearing for obstructions.
I feel pritty sure you'll find your problem here(I hope!).
See how you go
Kind regards Andrew Porrelli

How do i remove carbs on 89 goldwing

This is a very extensive proceedure, but you have to remove anything and everything that'll prevent you from getting those carbes off.

If you have the four carbs attached to a big airbox, the airbox has to be removed with the carbs and then disassembled from the airbox. Once you take the airbox lid off you'll see the screws that holds the carbs.
The water lines attached to the carb go into the engine just pop right out, they have an o-ring on the ends of them,
Once you have the throttle cables, choke cable, vacuum line and water lines disconnted, you can pull out the whole airbox with the carbs attached from the left side of the bike.

Will the carbs from a 97 Suzuki GSXR 750 run without the airbox?

thats a new one. People dump the airbox all the time and run k&n air filters instead. The airbox doesnt make that much of a difference. in fact, some actually work better without it.

Where is the map sensor located on a 2001 daewoo nubria

Usually on any car it is located between the airbox where your air filter is hidden and the engine itself. It can be either on the hose connecting the airbox to the engine, inline with it if you prefer, or it can be bolted directly on the back of the airbox. So best bet would be to take out the airbox from under the hood to see clearly, and you probably will have the sensor in hand anyway when you take out the airbox.

Replacing 748 airbox

I planning to replace the airbox on my 748 with another one. I want to estimate how difficult it will be: I know I need to remove the tank and the airbox runners but will the box then get out easily?he airbox will come off pretty easy you have to pulle off the breatherhose from under the airbox, it goes behind the rear cylinder. also, the funnels on the injectors need to be taken off. I am not sure what kind of funnels there are on a 748 compared to a 996, but you on a 996, you only have to twist them for a 1/4 turn, no more, and then pull, pretty hard, to get them off.,,,
