I have suzuki grand vitara 2001 model diesel, sometimes the engine runs so high that I have to turn the ignition off, The noise noise is so high that it draws the attention of pedestrians and other drivers on the road. What is the solution.
Hi!
What you can try is to cool the "camshaft rotary sensor" by pouring (normal) water (which I also did just last week) and it works to start & run the car until the next pull-over. You have to redo pouring water if you stop the endine and does not re-start. But this may be just an emergency solution wherein you have to let the car be serviced by a mechanic.

My Suzuki grand vitara diesel 2001 model came to a halt when the clutch disc got burnt. When the mechanic was changing it he broke the cam sensor. After I bought a new one from the local dealers of suzuki in Ghana, it was able to start the engine but with lot of smoke and the car will not pool. Now the cam sensor cannot start the car even though the battery is good, it cranks but will not start. What might be the cause?
