I have a Suzuki GSXR 1000 K7 the special edition version. It is a New Zealand bike but Suzuki imported them from Canada. The speedo has been changed to show kmph rather than mph. Do you know if there is a way to change the temp from Fahrenheit to Celsius

Re: Can you change temp from F to C on a GSXR 1000 K7
According to the user's manual, press SELECT until you see the odometer screen then hold down both SELECT and ADJUST for at least 3 seconds or more. That should change it. Now, their is another problem that you may not be aware of, and that is if that bike is a Canadian one, it may not change. it is my understanding that the US models and EUROPEAN ones are the only ones that can change. Try this, and if it does not change, you are out of luck.

You might have a leak in your tube mount between the carb and head. Let the bike idle and spray some starting fluid on the front of the carb. If the idle shoots up, you have a leak. Either cracked/weatherd or not tight enough
Most sports bikes are limited to 300km/h by the manufacturers in an effort to be responsible.
Actually the ? was about the 1000 not "most sport bikes". The Suzuki gsxr1000 for 2007 is rev limited to 184 mph. U do the math to figure out kph but in the U.S. who cares about the metric numbers.
I am glad you posted on FixYa. I can help on the manuals. Everything you asked for AND a parts fitch with part numbers are on the free PDF download site shown below. The 1st screen sometimes takes up to 5 seconds to build but from there the download is extremely easy.
