SOURCE: Where can i buy a

Clymer lists a manual covering the R1200C as item #M5033.

the BMW factory manual is available from your BMW dealer in CD.

You need a special bleed fitting to bleed the clutch on your R1200C motorcycle. Other than the special fitting, the clutch bleed process is very conventional. I can't locate the part number for the speacial fitting right now, but a goood BMW dealer can order it for you.

I have rattle problem with my BMW R1200 Montauk motorcycle. It sounds fine on starting from cold but once engine gets hot a rattle develops. Williams BMW Manchester have suggested it could be exhaust...

I have seen a few of the R1200C bikes with this rattle.... There is a cat. converter in the exhaust system and it sits between the pipes approx. under the transmission. This is the usual cause of the rattle.

Warm the bike up by riding it around for a while, then stop the engine and use a plastic face or rubber hammer to tap on the exhaust system in the area near the transmission to see if you can hear a rattle or something loose in the exhaust. This should give you some idea where the source of the rattle is.

There is no easy fix for this problem except replacement of the offending parts.

Check the ABS fuse. It sounds like the ABS electric pump is not working.

Blinking red light

Your ABS is off line - this can happen when the battery gets weak or when the wheels spin at different rates while the engine is running. In fact, you can force this error condition to happen while the bike is up on your service (Wunderlich) stand: Turn on the engine, shift into first gear (be careful here). Spin the front tire in the opposite direction of travel. the ABS will come off line and the lights will flash. You generally have to take the bike over to the shop to have this reset, but there is an alternative. There is a company in South Africa called Hex Code that makes a device called the GS-911. You can hook this up to your wiring harness and connect to it with a computer, Windows Mobile device or a Blackberry via Bluetooth. From the software interface, you can reset codes like your ABS error as well as view and log other values. Check out the site: http://www.gs911usa.com/ They have a video showing the whole enchilada. Also, go over to Chromeheads.org and sign up. See you there - my ID is grant111 - send me a PM!
