Cooling fan does not come on .Does it have a on an off switch. stays cool while on the move but in traffic tends to get hot and stall on its own

you need to test the units sending unit.It is located at the bottom of the radiator.

choke cables normaly last for ever, so it prob needs just a bit of oil. remove upper end of cable, tape a cone on it and pour some 20/50 into it. if it is broken, observe the set up and replace.
