Why does my 2006 suzuki gsxr 600 not start or turn over when I hit the start switch. I have replaced the spark plugs and battery. The only thing that happens is a click sound somewhere under the seat when I hit the start switch.
Have u tried boosting it?. if it works replace battery.
I had the same problem. Put the bike in gear and rock it forward and back to where you feel it catch. Try starting it again. I found amy starte had a couple worn spots. I was able to use this metod for months. I finally changed my starter a year later.
Sounds like a starter solenoid problem to me. If it turns over while shorting the large terminals together, replace it.
SOURCE: Want to lower the seat height.
best go with a lowering link to drop the rear end a little. there is not much seat there in the first place for anyone to make a thinner one, other than getting a race use seat unit. http://www.mpsracing.com/products/Spencer/Links.asp

200° is quite warm...
If the engine wont turn over, probabily you have a bad battery, a bad starter or a bad starter relay, or bad connections.
A hot engine has more compression. If the full battery power doesn't reach the starter it won't turn over...
SOURCE: HIT THE START BUTTON AND HEAR A CLICK AND NOTHING HAPPENS
dont know if you got the answer from someone who knows what the hell they are talking about cause obviously these idiots never owned a 96 s-rad. the problem is that your engine is loading up with fuel and basically vapor locking the engine witch you could also call severely flooding it. you have a carb problem as do i and if a real mechanic comes on and reads our problem please let us know how to solve... thank you
