LOst dash lights changed fuse unhooked battery any suggestions

Check dimmer switch make sure that it is on then check for power on fuse with a test light. If you have power go back to dimmer switch and check for power and ground. If all is good most likely a head light switch. Could be bulbs but not likely.

Have 2002 Bonneville, shut car off now have no power, no lights, horn nothing. Can wiggle ignition key, relays start clicking even with ignition off and key removed, will drain battery and battery...

Could be, sounds like a big electrical short somewhere. First check that it didn't kill your battery. Have it tested. If it is old, just replace it- you have to have a fully charged battery to do any checking or testing. Check all your fuses, and it would really be good to know there is power to the fuse. All of the maxi fuses are hot at all times. Use a simple test light to check they have power-one will feed the ignition switch and one or two others are for the head lights and lighting. You can check every fuse on the car, both underhood and inside the car at those fuse panels -with key on EVERY fuse on the car should have power to it. Just touch the test light probe to the top end of the fuse, that little indent is a test port to check for power. Every fuse has those openings, one at each end. A good fuse will light your testlight at both ends of the fuse. A bad or blown fuse will only light one end of the test light.
You may have lost power right off the battery if nothing works. How warm were those battery terminals? A poor connection will create a lot of heat, but that would likely be hot hot...lol
Start with a fresh battery, make sure cables and connections are good, make sure the fuses are good and have power, then hit the switch-if it blows something, bad switch or a short in a wire.
Good luck, Don.

I have running lights and high beams but only the drivers side low beam works. checked the fusw box one of the fuses there has not power coming to it?? (the fuse was fine)

According to the wiring diagram, the left and right low beams are connected to the same wire which is
vt/or. Check for power on this wire. Also check for a good ground on the black wire.

Need Solved MY 2001 Volkswagen Beetle. Put the key in turned it with clutch not engaged. Then engaged the clutch. suddenly, I lost all electric power. Nothing. NO dome light, No head lights, No display....

check your fuses sounds like one popped and needs replacing.easier if done with a test light turn the key to on and test light should light up as you touch on both sides of the fuse if not fuse is bad another way is to pull out one at at ime and visually checking them. good luck.

I lost my head lights, dome light, horn door

sounds like you have a bad ground somewhere. Check every ground strap that you can find, make sure it's tight, and not corroded, etc. Sounds like the accessories are trying to find a ground, and going through the brake light to do so, thus burning out from too much current.

Rear window defogger light lights when switch is pushed but no defogging happening!!! need wire diagram to trouble shoot. can u find any? checked fuses, all good. power seems to be lost after switch. ...

Yes there is a relay, but it is part of the hvac control head. There are two fuses in the system one is labled the hvac fuse it's a 10amp and there is a RR defog 30amp fuse. Those supply power to the hvac control head. Control head supplys power to the rear defroster. There should be a purple wire in c3 terminal D on the back of the control head. See if that has power when you turn on the switch. If it dose not then there is not power out put to the rear defroster. If so then the problem lies further down the line.
Good luck

Recently I lost my wipers, horn and head light control. All fuses and relays are good. The head lights come on with ignition and go off when ignition is off, but no brights or control otherwise. Turn

Much easier to replace the switch assembly. If it is something minor repair it but do not open the switch assembly packaging so that you can return it.
