I have the standard trunk (supplied by BMW for 1150RT for a hefty price). Nice thing about it is that it fits nicely, has a backrest for the passenger and is very stable and strong. The poor thing about it is that it still will not fit a helmet.
I suggest you also look at the GIVI trunk. I don't know how it will fit to the 1150RT, but I do know they look nice, are well made and large enough to accomodate a lot more thant the BMW trunk.
By the way, how do you like your 1150? I love mine. If only I had more time to ride it.

You can obtain a BMW Repair Manual from this site that should show you how to repair this and any other problems you may have. http://www.slideshare.net/xx0127/bmw-r-1150-rt-r1150rt-repair-manualpdf
I see you were asking about installing a radio on your 1150RT a few days ago.
There are no downloadable wiring diagrams that I know of out there on the 'net. You can purchase a copy of SLP2 which is a CD containing wiring diagrams for many BMW bikes. Maybe a copy can be found on Ebay?
The other easy option is to trace out the power wires and speaker wires in the harness using a test light and ohm meter. You need constant 12v, switched 12v and ground for your radio/CD and then the speaker wires. Does your bike have the speakers and antenna already installed?
Yes, is the short answer to your question. The BMW R1150RT engine will run and be protected quite well using a quality oil of viscosity listed in your owners manual. I would suggest a 20W50 for most applications.
you need an EP180 or EP190 oil in the dif i would go for the EP190 as its just a bit thicker and may stay in the dif a little longer,,,but fix the dif oil seal asap as the oil will spill out over the rear brake disk good luck!
This looks like a regulator or alternator issue. If you have access to a volt meter start the bike and check the voltage going to the battery. Needs to be 13.5 or 14 volts. If not time to take the Beemer to the shop.
You'll have to disassemble it and move your piston in and out of the caliper to make sure it gets full stroke. Sounds like it's not compressing all the way into the caliper. Also some break fluids can expand, You may try bleeding it down a little first.
