Speed problem I have been riding my bike on the freeway throughout the summer and it has been fine. Yesterday, I got on the freeway and my bike wouldn't go over 60 MPH at 5000 RPM's. I was on the freeway for 15-20 minutes. I took it off the freeway and drove around on surface streets. Then, I got back on the freeway and I could get it over 60. I took it to my mechanic and he cleaned the spark plugs and made the fuel mixture a little leaner- it was running a tad rich. When I took it home, I rode it on the freeway and it ran fine: 70 MPH at ~5500 RPM. This morning, I took it on the freeway again and I couldn't get it over 60 again. I took it off the freeway and rode on surface streets and took it back on the freeway and it ran fine again. What the hell is wrong with this bike? I already cleaned the fuel filter and checked the fuel line and it all seems fine. Any suggestions?

Is this an issue that has unexpectedly came up, or has it been an issue throughout your whole experience with this particular bike?

BAJAJ PULSER 150CC 2004 MODEL 1.MY BIKE MIALAGE IS 40KMPL 2.BIKE PICK UP IS VERY LOW 3.BIKE LOW SPEED RIDING NOCKING VALVE

Hi ravindra_sih,

If Bike Pick up is very Low :-

Check the two spar plugs if both are fine and if not then replace them.

If Bike's pick up is very low :-

Replace the cluth plates and the pressure if the problems persists after changing the spark plugs.

If you witness low speed riding knocking sound :-
Clean the carburettor and the air filter and this is also a problem due to damaged clutch plates.

Low Fuel Cutting

ill fill up tomorrow morning. I slowed down to take a left hand turn. As soon as i started turning the bike started to cut out and hiccup like mad. I rode the corner out clutch in while giving it full wrist to keep it alive. As soon as the bike straightened back up it came back to life. It rained yesterday pretty hard so i drove to work but i bet $1000 dollars that if i fill it up today it will ride fine again. So the question is...clogged fuel filter, fuel pickup, fuel line? My guess is crap on the bottom of the tank and when low the fuel pickup is choking/starving on the sediment in turns. So im just throwing this out there, to see if anyone thinks this the right diagnosis. Thanks for any input.,Thats exactly what happens when you run out of fuel... so it could be a bad filter or pickup clogged.,,,
