Deuce Tank Does anyone know if the Deuce tank will fit all years ?? I have 2007 Deuce & I got another tank & fender from a 2002 deuce (the sticker under the tank said 2002) & I wanted to do a paint job on them, I was told by my local dealer here in the UK that a Deuce tank fits all years, but have been told my someone in the US that the 2006/7 Deuce tanks are different, does anyone know ?? and are the fenders the same ?? The Guy that said the 2002 tank won't fit and said there was a special bracket welded in the inside of the tank tunnel for a sender on the 06/07 deuce ?? I won't be able to get a 2006/2007 tank over here as they stopped importing the Deuce here at the end of 2004,

All of the deuce tanks will fit...the only thing you will need to be carefull of is carb vs efi...there are 2 places to accept fuel connection on the bottom side of the tank near the back on the left side...one is for carb models and the other for efi models.

Years fit

Not likely but you could better check part numbers with a Harley parts person.

I have a HD 2003 Deuce -- It's ejecting the oil temperature gauge from the oil tank and splattering oil every were. Normally takes place during starting. Why?

There is too much pressure in the oil system. This problem is usually caused by too much oil, or a clogged oil line. Did the bike sit for the winter and the oil level seemed low when you brought it out of storage, so you added oil to the tank? If so, the bike "sumped", meaning oil from the tank drained into the bottom of the engine. Putting more oil into the tank caused an over full situation and that is why the dipstick is popping out of the tank. If this is the problem, siphon or drain some oil from the tank and run the bike until all the oil is out of the bottom of the motor. Then change the oil, adding the correct amount to the tank. DO NOT drain all the oil from the tank before running the bike!

I need to know where the oil drain plug is on a 2002 harley deuce.

A deuce is a member of the Softail family. Look at the bottom of the oil tank from the right side of the bike. Look for a large hose that runs down behind the transmission and continues on down to the crossmember of the frame under the transmission. There's a plug in the crossmember of the frame. Remove the plug to drain the oil.

Good Luck

Sundowner Deep Bucket Seat for my Deuce

I like the sundowner on the deuce, but I don't know about passenger comfort...IMO I haven't seen a saddlebag configuration that I like yet for the deuce. I'm going with a bag to carry on the luggage rack that attaches to the sissy bar Kuryakyn or Saddleman at this point, and I will be putting the bag on to rest on the seat so I can use it for a back rest. (I don't carry a passenger though). Good luck to you & let us know what you decide to go with.

Removeable hard bags on 2001 Deuce

the only way to go is with easy or ghost brackets all they leave on the bike is 4 mounts, the actual bracket mounts go the back of the bag and the easy bracket is lockable
