I suspect poor fuel delivery or starvation. At those rpms your bike requires a lot of fuel.Replace any and all fuel filters, check fuel lines for any kinks. Drain tank (petcock on pri ) then remove and clean petcock , replace. Run a bottle of techroline thru your next couple tanks of gas....Good Luck to you my friend...Tim

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, check, clean, bypass or replace the sidestand switch (blue/yellow wire & ground).

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

I have a lack of power on my fazer 600cc 2000model. it sets off, then slows down like its going to cut out, then picks up again. also the choke doesnt work properly. its either on or off, and that depends...

It would be a good idea to clean the air intake and fuel system. Be sure the air filter is clean. Drain the carbs. Water condensation in the gas tank may have partially filled the carb float bowls. Check to see the choke is mounted securely. A rebuild kit may be needed. You will probably need to remove, disassemble and clean the carbs but try the drain first. It is a lot easier and no cost. Now would be a good time for new spark plugs and an oil change. Lubricated the chain lately? Please rate my answer. Thanks.

2003 yamaha fzs 600. Just over tickover and accelerating (low revs) the bike start to miss fire, but clears as the revs gets higher and goes just as well as always. Have removed and cleaned carbs,...

Did you remove the pilot jets from the carbs? You have to remove them and ream them with a small peace of wire or compressed air. Hold them up to the light and make sure you can see thru them. Make sure the jet is completely clear, the hole should be nice and round with no obstruction.

If the carbs were jetted for a different pipe, and you have changed it back to standard that will cause your symptoms,if it was doing the same before you changed the pipe your carbs need cleaning

Yamaha Fazer 600 2000g speedo error the rev counter is sticking on 3,5 then on 1 then on 0 then agein to 3 what is the problem!?

think your tps sensor not connected properly it will show 3000 revs for 3 seconds then your idle speed for 3 seconds ( being 1) then 0 for 3 seconds and will repeat until you turn ignition off. its on the right hand side by the carbs the plug is covered by a black plastic sleeve turn bike off then disconnect sensor clean contacts then re connect. hope that helps
