It is probably a star or a square head. You should be able to pick up at any auto parts store.
Hope this helps

SOURCE: clutch adjustment

There are to different adjustments you can make. The most common adjustment made is on the clutch cable under the rubber boot real easy to figure out once you slide the boot off. The second is at your ramp and ball. I don't ride a RK so I don't know the exact method, but if you stop by your local library they might have a manuel that explains it in detail. My library does.

SOURCE: Is the carb adjustment screw on bottom

Hello

>>The Following is an Instruction File I made for Correcting this Problem. Any Input is Appreciated.
>>****All the Carburetor Adjustments are the Same for Lawn Mower and Trimmers.
>>There are Several Location for the Air Mixture Screws.
>>The Idle Air Mixture Screws are Usually Located at the Top of the Carburetor Bowl and the Top of the Carburetor Body.
>>If the Main Air and Idle Air Mixture Screws are Side by Side on the Side of the Carburetor, then the Idle Air is the Nearest to the Engine.
>>The Main Jet Air Mixture Screw is Located in the Bottom of the Carburetor Bowl or Beside the Idle Air Screw on the Side of the Carburetor Body.
>>The Engine Idle Screw is Usually Easy to Identify because you can See where it Makes Contact with the Carburetor Throttle Shaft Plate Stop Ear. The H and L Air Mixture Screws Go Into the Body of the Carburetor and the Tips Cannot be Seen.
>>Some of the Older Model Carburetors have the Main Jet Mixture Screw Straight in from the Top of the Carburetor Body (this is Rare anymore).
>>If you have Cleaned the Carburetor (Disassembled and Soaked Overnight in Carburetor Cleaner (I Use Gunk). Then Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air and Install a New Kit if Required.
>>Now Setting the Air Mixture Screws:
>>****Turn the Idle Air and Main Air Mixture Screws In Until SNUG **Do Not Jam** Then Reverse Both Screws 1 1/2 Turns.****
>>Holding the Throttle Full Open, Start the Engine.
>>Turn the Main Air Mixture Screw Clockwise Until Proper Revs are Obtained. Occasionally you May have to Turn this Counter Clockwise to Achieve the Proper Revs. Now Allow the Engine to Idle.
>>Set the Engine Idle Screw (Not Idle Air) so the Engine will Stay Running if Required.
>>Now Set the Idle Air Mixture Screw so there is No Hesitation when Throttling from Idle to Full Throttle.
>>Reset the Engine Idle if Required. If This Carburetor has a Single Air Adjustment.
>>Use the Section Above that Pertains to Full Throttle RPM Air Mixture Screw and then Adjust the Screw if Required to Eliminate Any Hesitation when Rapidly Throttling from Idle to Full Throttle.**

>>2- http://www.cpdonline.com/692509.pdf .
Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance.
Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Be Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck

SOURCE: Hyosun Scooter Carb Adjustments

Very good thought process on the adjustments. The throttle screw sets the idle speed and the air screw sets the fuel mix at idle speed. The stock setting is 1.5 turns outward. IMPORTANT > do not tighten these two adjusters down. Only screw these in until they LIGHTLY seat. Now turn each adjuster one and one half turns outward.

From this point you adjust the idle speed then adjust the air screw for fastest idle speed at that throttle screw setting. If the idle speed becomes faster than desired after adjustment, just reset the throttle screw and then reset the air screw.

When i start my 2000 road king and rev it up it blows black smoke.Any ideas

Black smoke is usually and indication of a rich mixture. Now, you didn't tell me whether your bike was carburator equipped or fuel injected. If carburator equipped, is the carb the stock carb or has it been changed. Still, regardless of whether its carburated or fuel injected, the mixture is way rich when revving. If the bike is equipped with an S&S carb, this is typical and it has an adjustable accelerator pump and most people get them adjusted too rich. Find out whether your bike is carb equpped or fuel injected and let me know. We'll go from there if it's carb equipped. If it's fuel injected, you'll have to take it to a dealer.

2000 roadking carburated it runs but you have to leave the choke on a little or it will stall.

the fuel mixture valve on the carb.is out of adjustment or fouled with laquer. first thing is get a pint of carb cleaner and pour it into a full tank of gas and take your bike for a long ride couple hours at least.. but adjust the valve on the carb first. turn the screw in till real snug, then turn back out exactly 1 and a half turns. doing this will help remove any laquer deposits on the tip of the needle valve that restricts fuel flow and the correct fuel/air mixture. hope this helps you out, and let me know how you do.

If you have carb, it may need to be adjusted,
Or fuel injectors if you have them.
Could be plugged blow-valve
Valves may need to be adjusted

What size spark plug for a 2000 harley davidson road king carbed,

Your Twin Cam plug should be a 6R 12 Harley Plug. Often times the back fire is just the nature of the beast depending on what type of pipes you are running. Harleys do run lean, its an EPA thing thtas why they choke them down from the factory. Since you have a carb you could have an intake leak around the Intake. Also Under the carb is an adjustment screw. Harley plugs it up so people don't play with it. You have to just drill out the plug this will set your air fuel. Whenever I take a carb off I drill out that plug. Heat your bike up operating temp and ear tune that screw. Only other way is with air fuel analizer or a dyno. good luck.also that backfire is caused by fuel hitting your exhaust when you let off just to let you know.
