THe truck is not moving. The GPS does not have me in Sulphur SPrings where I am. It is saying New York, NY.

There are no updated maps or software available for that model. So, I need to upgrade to the 5000 gpsm for just a little over $200.00, plus I need to send in the old one. Will receive the new one in the mail 8-10 days.

If it is constantly on a singloe map location and never cuts in to navigate thjen suspect that
1) the antenna is afunctional, disconnected, or not working to lock onto satellites.
2) The chip that locates and communicates with the satellites is dead.
If it always shows a particular location when started, but does navigate to where you ask it to take you, but always returns to the base location when tuened off and then on. The program in your home address or in SETUP program your location and time zone to have it always start in Maryland.

it hasnt linked to the satellites yet...make sure its fully charged,
then slide the switch to the off position for 15 seconds, then power it
back on and take the unit outside in clear view of the open sky and
wait until the satellites lock on.
you can tell when the
satellites are linked by the bar at the top in the main menu area..

Where to ..... Address.... on this screen where is says SELECT City in ( New York ) to find another city or state go to bottom of screen and select the State / Province
