2005 Honda CBR 125 cut out and now won't start

I was riding along and started to notice occasional dips in power and the bike started to jump, a few minutes later the bike cut out and I rolled to a stop. 5 mins later after trying to get it going again it started and ran fine until about 10 miles down the road when it cut out again. now it won't start at all when it does start it will only idle for a couple of seconds, a slight touch of the throttle and it will cut out. two days before this I fitted a new air filter which means disconnecting the fuel lines but everything seemed fine until now. Does anyone know about this or experienced it themselves?

When the bike is cold its starts up then wont hold the revs and cuts out.after several attempts it will hold the revs and works ok.

Your choke or cold start needs adjusting slightly.

I cant get my bike (cbr 125 r) to start without usinf choke!

sounds like you have a blocked jet in your carb you need to get it cleaned and a new spark plug would help.

Bike cuts out at 10,000 rpm

Eventually it won't start at all if you keep redlining her like that. My advice to you is get a faster bike.

Cbr 125 rw 7 instrument panel

Sounds like you have a ground fault. I once had a car with a faulty ground wire on the headlight, when I put high beam on the speedo would jump to 170km/h and the indicators would glow dimly. Sure sounds like a similar ground fault to me, check all the ground straps, from the headlight or anywhere else you can think of.

Cbr 125 choke problem

It sounds like the choke line may not have been routed correctly when the new one was installed. Remove the gas tank and check to see that the line is not being stretched anywhere along the way AND that the gas tank when re-installed is not stretching the line. The line may have been kinked when installed. Look at the mechanical movement of the choke at the carb. Does it operate freely? Remove the air filter and look inside the center of the carb, (you may need to use a small mirror for this), does it look like the choke is opening and closing properly when the choke is moved on and off?
