I have the same problem with my ut08580. When inspecting the carb, I noticed the diapham was torn. I cut a small amount off the corner of the diaphram and set it in the spot of the tear and put it back together. It worked for now, but I would like to order a new diaphram does anyone know how. I've been searching different parts sites for 3 hrs with no luck. I hope I don't have to buy a new carb.

Check the fuek lines for hole and leaks, check the fuel filter and clean if necessary. remove the carbuerator and inspect the gasket; it should be soft and flexible, if it seems hard or brittle replace it. clean the carb with carb cleaner sray (available at any local auto parts store) and compressed air. make sure you get inside the small fuel rail holes. check the primer bulb for pin holes and seating/sealed properly. if that doesn't work have the carb repaired at a service center or replaced.

New carb on wacker bs50-2i still wont start unless i pour fuel down carb

Press primer until fuel fills bulb and flows out carburetor. If no fuel in primer bulb then check connections.

Check fuel line connections by disconnecting retun line to tank (without filter) and pressing primer bulb. Fuel should draw from tank (filter), into bulb, out bulb to carb and expel out carburetor. If not the bad lines, filter, or lines not connected correctly.

With fuel primed, turn both high and low speed needles in (CW) until seated, do not tighten. Then turn needles out 1 1/2 turns for initial settings. These settings are only to get unit running. Increase idle speed setting if engine stalls. Adjust low speed, then high speed and lower idle speed back to normal.

I have a husqvarna 440 chainsaw I installed a new carb on it and.now I can't get the primer bulb to prime gas what gives?

https://www.partstree.com/models/440-e-husqvarna-chainsaw-2008-05/

The link shows components of the saw.

Three fuel lines...

1. Fuel tank dip tube (fuel filter) to siphon side of primer bulb

2. Primer output to carb in.

3. Fuel return to tank.

Likely you have reversed the primed bulb lines.
Disconnect the line from the primer bulb to the carb. If you have the correct connection from the tank to the primer bulb, fuel will spurt out the bulb as you press the bulb

If no fuel, move the line at the primer bulb to the other primer connection. Press primer bulb a few times and fuel should spurt out bulb.

If still no fuel then a problem with the fuel tank dip tube or plugged filter

How to hook up fuel lines on a ryobi 08576 backpack leaf blower

hook one up and press the primer bulb if it doesn't squirt fuel out when the bulb is pressed you have the wrong pipe connected
primers work like this they suck fuel from the tank , through the diaphragm pump , into the float diaphragm and out back to the tank

I can't get it to start. Don't think the gas is moving when I pump it to start it. When I push on the bulb, it doesn't appear to pick up fuel.

Is the primer bulb filling with fuel.? If not then you either have a hole in the primer bulb or a hole in the fuel line, you mat also have a blocked primer bulb base.

Primer bulb will not prime

Sounds like it could be a number of faults.
1. Crack in the primer bubble its self, not allowing the creation of pressure or vaccum.
2. The plastic primer base has a valve in it. That could either be blocked or damaged.
3. Blocked up fuel line (not very likely)
4. Hole in the fuel line which is sllowing it to suck air up and not fuel.
I\'d be putting my money on 1 or 2.

Replaced gas tank and primer bulb on my Poulan Leafblower FL1500 and it appears I'm not getting gas into the carb. Any ideas as to what my be the cause?

I assume the new tank came with new fuel lines and filter in it.
First be sure you have all the lines hooked up correctly. There should be a main line from the tank ( has the fuel line on the end of it in the tank) to the fuel pump side of the carb. Then there should be a line leaving the metering side of the carb to the primer bulb then from the primer bulb returning to the tank. When you press the primer bulb you should see it **** the fuel into the carb then from the carb into the primer bulb then back into the tank.
If the fuel lines are all hooked up correctly then you should rebuild the carb.

There is a connector or something missing from the fuel overflow line from the carburetor back to the fuel tank

There is no such thing as a fuel overflow line.
If the unit has a primer bulb then there will be 2 lines in the tank ( 1 is a main fuel line distinguishable by the length of line that extends into the tank with a fuel filter on the end of it, the other is a return line from the primer bulb that terminates just inside the tank usually with a male to male conector.) The main fuel line will go to the carb and another line from the carb will go to the primer bulb. If any of these lines are discolered, fragile or broken then they should be replaced. Generally the smaller diameter line is the main fuel delivery line and the larger diameter line is the primer system.
