You will find using a premium fuel or an additive will rectify this is over time. If using standard Unleaded fuel will dry out the valves making this noise. Noise is more noticable after using Ethanol / Blended fuels.

SOURCE: I HAVE A 06 ROADLINER 1900 FIRST OIL CHANGE I USED

I also have an 06 Roadliner. I use 20w50 Lucas sythetic motorcycle oil with great results. Will later switch to Rotell T Synthetic 5w40 (Dark Blue Jug at Walmart) as it costs alot less than Lucas.

My husband keeps paying $190 to have "professionals" change the oil in his 2006 yamaha roadliner, because he's been told it's difficult to do. He does all the maintenance on our other vehicles... He needs...

It is a bit more complicated than just removing a drain plug. $190 for an oil change is a rip-off in my opinion. The best thing to do is to order a factory service manual from a Yamaha dealer. It will cost $50 or so but the first oil change that Hubby does will more than pay for the manual. Get him one and say " Happy Birthday Dear ". Please rate my answer. Thanks.

Drain plugs

Under the crank case. Just take a small mirror & watch the bottom of the crankcase. You can locate the hexagon bolt in the reflection view.

How do you adj this cutch it just started sliping 2006 yamaha roadliner s 18000 miles

if it is cable operated you want to adjust at the clutch perch (where the lever is mounted on) to where you have about an 8th inch of play before you feel the tension of the clutch in the lever. if that dosent do it change your oil if you havent done so already and if that dosent do it then the clutch is probably toast.
