The First thing you have to NOT DO is try to start it if it has been sitting for any long duration of time 6 months or more second, you have to remove the gas tank, drain the contents, into a can you can see in, look for a dark brown colored corpusal, in the gas, if there is some, that is an indication, that your carbs need to come apart, unless you are a seasoned mechanic, you will have to remove the carb, take the bowl off, of course you will look for the brown couloured substance again, clean the bowl, remove the pin, holding the float in placebeing carfule to secure the needle valve in its proper place after cleaning it thouroughly, remove the jet, using a tiny bit, you reem the jet hole center, taking care not to bore it out, the you run the bit in the jet hole, cleaning any debri that may be there, use carb cleaner and keep spraying it in all in puts and out puts the carb may have, then if you put your mouth to the feul input to the carb, blow in it to be sure it is clear, if not youl have to use carb cleaner and air to clean it out, air and carb cleaner is the key to cleaning it properly, some carbs need to be taken apart and soaked in a carb cleaner, before reassembly, just keep blowing air in all the inputs and out puts, to be sure they are cleared, reassemble and GO,,,

Fuel system completely flushed carburator completely cleaned, new gas

tank airiation fuel tap filter tankfilter clean? sludge removedl a canister automotive engine cleaner for the fuel are by cleaning carburetor( if there is a L+R re-adjusted) are the gaskets changed and correct placed especially between cilinder and carburetor. there can be especially a small channel in it that it was wrong replaced or is the compression good enough ?
Compression is the very most important thing there is to look at the exhaust site to the piston that must be smooth otherwise there was a problem by overheating piston if there are grooves there can be a wrong adjusting of the carburetor or by a quality problem of the used gas

1978 gmc sierra sbc 350.. problems starting its been sitting for a while. I replaced the mechanical fuel pump but still doesn't run. I can pour gas in the quadrajet carburator and it will turn over and run...

If it runs when you pour fuel in the carburetor, then the problem is that the engine is not receiving fuel. (by the way, be careful, the carburetor may back fire and cause a fire). Disconnect the fuel line from the carburetor and place the end of the line in a bucket, then turn the truck over to see if fuel is flowing. If it is a mechanical fuel pump it should pump fuel into the bucket when the battery turns over the engine. If you had a lot of debris pop out of the carburetor, it should be taken off and cleaned. You may have had a bird or something else try and build a nest in it.

Gentron 10000w generator has a leaking carburator

Your carburetor float valve may be stuck open. You'll have to remove the carburetor, remove the sediment bowl at the bottom of the carburetor (where the float is), and check the float. Is it filled with gas? Replace the float if it is. If the float is dry inside, then remove the float and clean the needle valve & seat. (be careful to note how the float pin, linkage, spring, etc. are positioned so you properly reassemble. After cleaning & reassembling, turn the carburetor upside down & try blowing into the gas line connection on the carburetor. You shouldn't be able to blow air. Turn the carburetor right side up & repeat. If you can blow air into the carburetor's gas line connection, the float valve & seat are properly working. Reinstall the carburetor. You should be good to go.

My RPM is not stable because my carburator is not clean...i want to clean it but i dont know how..will you please give me an instructions to clean my carburator?my car is honda vti 96 model. thank you

As i understand, all VTi´s had injected engines, but in case your particular model is carburated, my advice is: Take it to have it cleaned by a mechanic that knows carburetors. Have in mind that carburetors have a myriad of screws, jets and wires that might get lost or switched during reassembly. Furthermore, the jets, butterfly openings, floats and other devices require detailed, minute adjustments for proper functioning. All those adjustments are lost when disassembled for cleaning. Also, some rubber / plastic parts and seals will not withstand the acid bath, so a new kit must be included as well.

I need a 22R aisan carburator diagram so I can rebuild my carburator.

purchase the carburetor rebuild kit for your carburetor and it should have instructions in the box to aid you in rebuilding it . Remember , to do it correctly you must get an acid wash tank to submerge the entire carburetor body into before you install the new parts . And be sure to clean it thoroughly after you remove it from the acid dip tank .

My AJS Raptor Regal 125 motorbike - idle problems. I have just bought the bike and i cant seem to get it to idle properly and the engine keeps cutting out when i let go of the accelerator. How do i solve...

try to clean your carburator..maybe it is full of dirt or rust..but if you cleaned already and the problem is still there,i think you need to replace your carburator..but also check your engine, sometimes the answer of the problem you incountered is that the block need a reboring because it is already lost compression..
