If none Ins companies that do a single policy for 4 bikes in the UK . However Aprilia don’t fit a immobiliser well not on my 04 bike .Which means an extra £50 on my policy. So do you lot have one fitted are they worth it ? or pain in the bum. They are offering to current customers a Thatcham approved one for £179 with three year warranty fitted at home. In theory it should pay for its self in 4 years so sounds like a good move. Any thoughts ? ,I've a Meta 357T-V2 alarm / immobiliser fitted. Is it worth it? I doubt it, but I went with it, at least I can hear it if it goes off in the garage! At £299 fitted I'd have to keep the mx a while to pay for it. Does anyone here in the UK take any notice of an alarm going off? and what's the point of an immobiliser on a bike? Wheel it away to a waiting van and strip it down later.,,,

How can I find out if a yamaha xt 660 x has an immobiliser fitted? I am in the process of buying one and need to know for the insurance. Do they come fitted as standard?

It depends on the age of the bike! They do now but didn't when they first came out. To find out more about the exact bike you want go to the Yamaha Motorcycle Website.

Hi There was an idit who cut me up now the insurance company im

The problem with insurance companies to day is ,that payouts are sujuect to year not condition .If your bike was a few years old it would be no problem .However as your bike is nearly 20 years old ,In the insurance eyes its worth very little .Certain insurance companies do what is knoiwn as a classic insurance policy .Which in the event of an acccident repaires or payout are much more than a normal insurance policy .But again your bike has to be classed as a classic to obtain such a policy by your insurance company .Check the bike ads and try and see what the same bike and year are fetching .You will find a vast diffrence in prices as the bike are in various conditions & a high mileage bike ,will sell cheaper than a low mileage one .Condition has tro be taken into account.Remember this is selling prices ,Not insuranmce values .So prices will be diffrent .

How do i change kmh to mph on aprilia mx 125 dashboard

Any good bike shop should sell you a small unit which attaches to either the speedo or the front wheel for about £15 or you can get stickers which just go on the glass

Hope this helps

Clutch basket

but it was not as deep as the original. Did the older bikes have a sallower basket. Mine is a 2005 and holds 8 fibers and 7 steel plates. I can't find any partd lists for the older bikes on the web. First a question. Are you using the original clutch fiber plates and friction disks or, did you get a new pack of plates and disks to go with the new basket. I'll explain my question below. The clutch on the 125 is sort of touchy. I tried various configurations, mainly using all steel drive plates, instead of the combination of steel and aluminum. I was only able to make it work properly using the OEM GG configuration. The 125 uses a different clutch than the larger bikes. (The 200's clutch basket has a different gear on the back, but otherwise it's clutch is the same as the larger bikes.) Make sure your replacement clutch disks & plates are not for the larger bikes. (I recently saw an ebay seller's auction that claimed to be a clutch rebuild kit for the GasGas bikes. It only had 7 friction disks. ) The original clutch for the 125 Gasser had a combination of aluminum and steel drive plates. The friction plates were all the same. The 2005 parts book lists them as being 3 iron disks and 4 aluminum disks. (In my memory, I thought it was 4 steel and 3 aluminum.) If you download and look at the parts book, http://www.gasgasmotos.es/rcs/manual...emotorec05.zip , the 125 clutch is on one of the last pages of the book. (page 48 of 50) BTW. I still have a new OEM GasGas 125 clutch pack in my stock; if anyone is interested. (side note: The clutch push rod for the 125 is only a few dollars. The clutch push rod for the larger bikes is in the $35 range.),,,
