My Bose QC15 won't turn on, I've already tried replacing the battery. What could be the problem?

Mine did this as well, totally frustrated I kept on rapidly switching them on and off, and eventually it just switched on!

Same thing happened to me. Just picked it up and tried to turn it on with a fresh battery. No light and no noise canceling. It was working fine when I put it down. I suspect the power switch has gone bad.

I just had the same issue. I tried turning them on and off rapidly, but the did not work. But I did take out a towel and lay it on a table. I then began tapping the unit against the towel. I was not tapping hard just. In about 30 seconds the unit started working again.

Mine just did this as well. Took the advice of the post above. Lightly tapped on the power side of the headphones and the powered up. As also posted. they had been working perfectly fine. Go figure????

Nope! Didn't help mine!! Payed too much to start with - will buy a new pair rather than cough up another $200!!

One ear on bose qc 15 headphones doesnt work

Check your jack. A bad jack will cut-one ear. Try wiggling the wire going into your jack. You can buy the entire jack and plug.

Just recieved a pair of qc15's after the first use the right ear cup will crackle intermittantly, building up then dropping out, it does it randomly

It's the EQ of your ipod or itunes that is tripping them up. Apparently there is a 'perfect' EQ to run them on but I'm not familiar with it. Running them with the EQ 'flat' should fix the problem. Hope this helps...

Bose qc15 no sound

Try the headphones in another stereo and if it still has no sounds the the headphone cord or plug is faulty.

Hi Donna,

Please do be frustated.

Your lovely Bose has problem with its mechanism that cause load / unload totally out of order. If you hear some noise while you turn on the bose or when you hit some buttons, it is telling us the motor still work. Now we need to check the broken gears ( or other mechanism linkage).
If you able assemble this Bose, go ahead to find and fix it mehanism ( you may need some parts replacement.

Note : Be carefully with its laser lens while power on ( avoid direct contact to your eyes).

Best luck,

Jay

My remote will not cut on my Bose Cinemate system. I have changed the batteries in my remote and the red light on the receiver is illuminated, so I know the system is operational, . I've also unplugged...

It seems to be a common misconception that the remote is necessary to turn a device on. All devices have hard-wired power controls. Does THAT work? It is unclear which device (remote or the Cinemate) is malfunctioning. If the Cinemate won't turn on by its own power switch the remote won't magically bypass whatever the problem is.

The Cinemate Manual offers some steps to take if it won't turn on, as well as other guidance.
