SOURCE: oil quantity on fork

You will need approx.8 to 9 ounces in each tube if they are still wet.If they are dry complete capacity is 10 ounces.I hope this helps.

SOURCE: 97 fxdl, difference between narrow/wide glide componants

You need the complete front end including the wheel. The FXDWG is somewhat of an oddball in that a lot of parts fit only that bike. A lot of other parts will not fit a Wide Glide. This even applies to the exhaust system.

Measure the diameter of your upper fork tubes, they're 39 mm tubes. The Wide Glide uses 41 mm tubes. The Wide Glide also uses a 21" front wheel.

How can I stop a 2002 harley lowrider FXDL from bottoming out

On the front forks, you can change to a heavier fork oil. I run 30 wt. fork oil in my '94 FXDWG. On the rear, tighten the shocks up by adjusting the ring at the bottom of the spring. Turning the ring increases or decreases the preload on the spings depending on which way you turn the ring.

Good Luck

your local hd shop should be able to answer this for you as its a mesured amount and to much or too little will make the bike not handle right
