SOURCE: Incorrect speedometer reading

the spedo is electronic and works with a sensor located in the tranny case you can see it right by the starter end its the black plastic thing with a single 3/16 allen bolt in it remove it and make sure it is clean no metal shavings(its a magnetic hall effect sensor) if no shavings exist then you have a problem with the spedo and it can only be replaced harley wont repair them

Had the same problem with my GL 1100 I. A rock had kicked up and hit the speedometer cable mount at the fork and split the plastic screw mount. The cable terminus started to back out from the fork. Any way went to Honda spent $12.00 on a new speedometer cable and installed it in about 10 min.

SOURCE: can i lower the seat height of my 2006 roadliner?

best way is to take your cover off your seat and shave it down about 2-3 inches...then put some memory foam in it and recover...its more comfortable and it will lower your seat height.

SOURCE: I have a 2006 1700 roadster, my speedometer don't

it might be a fault of the sensor (as its replaced) better check whether its properly replaced and whether the wire cords are properly plugged in coz even if a single wire is not plugged well it wont work.

I have a 2006 roadliner and the speedometer quit working Do you have any suggestions on where to start looking

First check to make sure your needle sweeps when you turn the Key on. If it does not then make sure everything else works Fuel gauge, indicator lights odometer. If no then check for power to the unit the factory wiring diagram shows what wire this is. If everything else works and you have power. Is your odometer clicking off the miles you ride? If NO! check your speed sensor. If YES! It sounds like your speedo motor is dead. Hope this helps

Engine light on sometimes 2006 trailblazer

Invest in an OBDII reader. They range in price from $20-$400 and can do anything from just read codes when the engine light goes on, to real time data. Intermitent engine lights are tough, so next time it goes on, you can hook up your reader and find out what it is right then and there. Even for future problems, you can keep your mechanic honest by knowing exactly what's wrong with the vehicle. Buying a code reader will pay for itself the first time you use it.

Possible ground wire fault with dash board unit. If it is a cable operated spedo, the cable end (small square cap) may be rounding off on one end.
