My 92 Accord LX stopped running, I replaced plugs, wires, distributor cap, fuel pump and car still won't start

92 accord stopped running after I had just driven it.Could it be a sensor? I only replaced the fuel pump, not the hanger that holds it. The tech ran a wire from under the seat from the top of fuel pump to a fuse under the hood and the car starts but I do not drive it. What all is connected to the fuel pump? Could it be an ignition switch?

Thank you Reynaldo. I had someone check the plugs and wires. I also replaced The plugs and wires were okay. The fuel pump, now it is making a loud roaring noise which appears to be coming from the replaced fuel pump, which appears to keep running after I turn the car off. The car still would not start so what the tech did so I could get it home was he ran a wire from the fuel pump trough the trunk to a fuse under the hood. Now it starts but my gas hand is not working so I won't drive it. I guess this shop really flubbed it up and now I am at a loss.

First check the pump fuse then the relay .one is at fault ,that's why the tech ran a jumper wire. As for the pump noise it has not sucked up fuel,Is there fuel in the tank ? gauge may be faulty .or there may be a blockage from the pump back to the tank. To check for blockage remove filler cap , remove intake pipe or hose from the pump and blow in air should hear bubble noise in the tank if not blocked . Hook fuel line up remove outlet line , pump should now work ok.Refit outlet line.

You will need to check for spark disconnect a sparkplug wire at the distributor and leave a 1/4 air gap, crank the engine, do you see a spark,if you have spark then solve for no fuel this can stem from a needed fuel pump that has failed.

96 Accord LX, 2.2L. Wouldn't start. Replaced Starter. Replaced Battery. It drives for a little while. Turn it off and it won't start again. Help? Please?

The distributor is a high failure rate item on Hondas if I had to guess I would guess the distributor is the culprit. good luck.

I have a 90 accord lx/dx.I replaced fuel filter, air filter and now the car won't stay running and once it does start after running it about 2 blocks if you let off the accelerator it putters like...

Have your engine scoped out by a reputable service shop. Was it running better before you replaced those items? Have you done a tune up lately? Did you buy bad gas? Are your fuel injectors clean? Is the fuel pump going out on you? Are your spark plugs and spark plug wires good? Are their any sensors that may need replacing? I have a 1990 Honda Accord and the car just wants to keep taking my money. It needs too much love to keep any more.

92' honda accord lx when hot does not want to start

You need to repair or replace your car's main power relay. It is a known fault on those early 90's Accords. When it gets hot, it fails and won't supply power to the fuel pump or distributor. Have it replaced.

Right when car warms up it has a lower slightly rough idle with a miss every once and awhile. When I drive it, unless I push the gas to the floor, it runs with a miss and shakes the car a bit. Sounds like...

Could very well be the main relay, limiting power to all the electronics in your car, causing the problems you've mentioned. Have it repaired or replaced.

Won't go past 20

My 92 Honda Accord LX was having the same problem, after replacing the the fuel filter, spark plugs, wires and distributor cap and rotor. My engine light was on and I had the car computer read to determine what was exactly wrong, the reading was 100% accurate and I changed the part that was needed myself and the car has been performing past 40mph.
