92 accord stopped running after I had just driven it.Could it be a sensor? I only replaced the fuel pump, not the hanger that holds it. The tech ran a wire from under the seat from the top of fuel pump to a fuse under the hood and the car starts but I do not drive it. What all is connected to the fuel pump? Could it be an ignition switch?
First check the pump fuse then the relay .one is at fault ,that's why the tech ran a jumper wire. As for the pump noise it has not sucked up fuel,Is there fuel in the tank ? gauge may be faulty .or there may be a blockage from the pump back to the tank. To check for blockage remove filler cap , remove intake pipe or hose from the pump and blow in air should hear bubble noise in the tank if not blocked . Hook fuel line up remove outlet line , pump should now work ok.Refit outlet line.
You will need to check for spark disconnect a sparkplug wire at the distributor and leave a 1/4 air gap, crank the engine, do you see a spark,if you have spark then solve for no fuel this can stem from a needed fuel pump that has failed.

Unbolt the four bolts under the seat attaching the seat mount to the floor.

Know of 2 cars that the bearings went out in the distributors. replaced the distributor and ran better then before.
SOURCE: Leaking oil from distributor (small amount of oil)
Is it leaking arond it? Replace oring seal. Is it leaking from where the cap seals the the distributor? Replace the distributor.

Thank you Reynaldo. I had someone check the plugs and wires. I also replaced The plugs and wires were okay. The fuel pump, now it is making a loud roaring noise which appears to be coming from the replaced fuel pump, which appears to keep running after I turn the car off. The car still would not start so what the tech did so I could get it home was he ran a wire from the fuel pump trough the trunk to a fuse under the hood. Now it starts but my gas hand is not working so I won't drive it. I guess this shop really flubbed it up and now I am at a loss.
