Bad stick coil

Sounds like you have a dead stick coil, Zoltan.
The twin spark bikes fire both plugs at the same time. However, above 2800rpm or so the lower plugs stop firing.
Try swapping out the stick coils (all of them) with known working ones as a test.

email Gareth Morgan at firstname.lastname@example.org he rode a 650 GS from Europe to China and experienced running on some very low octane fuel ( 87) in central Europe .

Should be under the seat ... find the two bolts that typically hold the back of the seat down .. remove them to find the battery box.
Alternatively, you could check in your owners manual or if you dont have one ... you might look at the manufacturers web site or www.archive.org.
Lastly, you could stop by the motorcycle shop parts department and mane a friend of the counterman. They know everything ... and are generally willing to talk.

Carburator clean up could help solve the problem, it seems some dirt may have entered the float chamber!
Blow the jets with compressed air.
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Bike starts but won't idle
I'm having a similar electrical/idling problem with my Dakar with 6K miles on it and 2 seasons on battery. What did you finally determine as cause?
