You could load test the battery ,to see if its good ,if it is good or new,it may be your stator,or charging system. You could check the voltage of the battery while its running to see if its charging. I found ,they dont like not being started,or sitting for awhile. Ive installed a battery tender ,that keeps my battery fully charged even if you let the bike sit for extended periods of time. Its a very low amp charging system ,then turns itself on and off,to keep your battery fully charged. Sometimes there called Float chargers too.

SOURCE: my honda cbr 600 wont start and keeps backfireing

Check your plugs. If all four are sparking then your carbs are out of sync. They will need to be re-balanced.

If you are capabable in doing this job your self, you will need a screwdriver that fits your adjuster screws and a CarbTune Carb balancer.
Remove your tank and airbox.
You should see the flaps inside your carbs. These should open when you move your throttle.
Start on the outside carbs to get them balanced with the 2 centre ones.
To start, unscrew the adjusters all the way out. then screw them in until the 2 outer carbs move at the same time as the inner 2 carbs
Once this is done then adjust the centre balancer to syncronise the 2 left hand carbs to the 2 right hand carbs.
Now if you have done this correctly, all four carbs should open at the exact same time.
If you have a Carbtune balancer, remove the plugs from the top of your inlet manifold and plug in the hoses from the carbtune balancer.
Start the engine and adjust the screws until the weights inside the Carbtune balancer all read the same.
Once done, remove the balancer, replace the plugs into the inlet manifold, refit the airbox and tank and it should run so much better.

If your not 100% confident to unertake this job yourself, take the bike to your local dealer and ask to have the carbs balanced.

2004 Honda CBR 1000 RR - running rough

Have you had the computer control module scanned for fault codes yet? You need to have this done by a dealer. Until you do that you are just guessing, and Honda doesn't sell any parts for less than your arm and my leg. Bottom line scan the system.

My Honda cbr 125 broke down and wouldn't start.

Have it towed to the Honda dealer and let them fix it. It doesn't sound like your garage knows how to fix it.

You can hear the starter spin but its not turning over the motor? on a 1993 cbr 600

If the starter clutch gets gummed up it doesn't work properly. Take it off and clean it. If that doesn't work you will need a new clutch. The clutch is at the outside end if the starter motor. Go to the website for a diagram of the starter and clutch assembly. www.babbittsonline.com tombones49_256.gif
