Where are the brake light switches located front and rear
SOURCE: Rear brake light not workiing
There are two brake light switches. One is in the right handlebar switch housing. This is front brake light switch and is a simple push button type switch actuated by the front brake lever.
The other switch is a pressure switch and it is located in a Tee usually somewhere under the bike near the rear of the transmission. Follow the metal tube coming out of the rear of the master cylinder. It will go back towards the rear brake. Somewhere in that line there will be a tee with the pressure switch in it. If you jumper across this switch, the brake light should work. If it does work when you do this but not work when you depress the rear brake signal, replace the rear brake light switch.
Good luck

Not too hard - Undo the two bolts on the caliper and then seperate the caliper and pull the old ones out. Insert the new ones and put the bolts back in to hold the caliper back together and then install them back on the bike with the two retaining bolts. Use a bit of lock tight (Blue) on the threads. Warning do not let anyone apply pressure on the brakes while you have them off the bike or you will have a mess and/or a problem.

Does the sidecar harness have a square 4 pin plug? If it does it more than likely connects to the auxillary plug under the seat.

The rear brake is activated by a electric/hydraulic switch located in line with the rear brake line. It is located behind the rear brake pedal, and faces forward. It is about 3 1/2" long and an inch in diameter, cylindrically shaped. That is probably what is the problem is. You can check the wires for corrosion and connection first.
SOURCE: where is the brake relay
There is no "brake relay" on a Harley motorcycle. If you're talking about a brake light switch that illuminates the brake light when you apply the brakes, there are two of them. One is located in the front handlebar switch housing (throttle grip housing) for the front brake. The other is located underneath the transmission usually. Find the metal brake line coming out of the rear brake master cylinder and follow it back towards the rear brake. You will find a "tee" fitting with a pressure switch in it with several wires connected to it. This is the rear brake light switch. I hope this helps,
Good Luck
