hello i have an rs 125 gp1 replica 2002 that sounds normal to me as mine runs about the same m8 so nothing to worry about if it gets to hot err will appear on the digital dash
I guess youwillhaveto adjust the clutch cable so as to open the plates more at the pressure plates to let the clutch plate rotate freely instead of binding thus the low rpm.

it sounds like , when you where adjusting the shift ,it might be off a little and the bike thinks it is still in gear ( false neutral ),maybe readjust the shifter and see.worth a look.
