Hi there my car will start but the wont turnover it cuts out after i start the ignition, and then i hear a hissing noise from the engine after that like there is a hole somewhere in the engine
It sounds like the timing belt snaps based on the hissing sound that you described............if it cranks lightly without much load then it is confirmed the timing belt has snapped.

IT is probably a vacuum leak in the brake booster. With the pedal going to the floor There is either no brake fluid or you will have to bleed the system. Replace the booster and bleed the brakes starting at the longest line first
replace fuel filter.listen for fuel pump operation with ignition switch on position for 3 seconds should hear fuel pump running should have humming or churling noise if so fuel pump working if hear no noise fuel pump faulty or could have blowed fuel pump fuse or bad relay.if fuel system okay problem could be ignition timing off due to worn broken timing belt.could have faulty ignition module.bad crankshaft sensor or camshaft sensor best to have vechicle code scan first before buying alot of new parts.could have bad ECM. many things will cause no start problems i.dont know model type vechicle.could have bad spark plugs wires. distributor cap and rotor could be bad.ignition coil could be bad.
Check you tachometer while you are cranking the engine and if the tachomoter doesn't move a little bit it could be a faulty crank shaft sensor
Checked Fuel pressure or Ignition ON/Off and listen to fuel pump motor noise, it will operates for approx. 5 sec. when turn On ignition switch and pump will off by it self. if you did not hear any noise from fuel tank, try to swap fuel pump relay. Good luck
If you're not hearing a click from the starter check for a starter relay. May be burned out! DO you hear the fuel pump kick in when you turn the key on? If not something might have triggered your security system and locked you out!
when you turn the key to the ON position you should hear your electric fuel pump come on (a quiet hissing noise) if you dont hear this noise your fuel pump has gone out, if you do hear the noise you might want to check your fuel filter it could be clogged and starving the engine of fuel
ya hi there do you know motor size and year ? can you locate the ignition coil ? if so check to see 12 volts is present when you turn ignition to start position? check all fuses and also check relay's take each relay out and wiggle back in might be a bad connection .
