SOURCE: fuel overflow problem with 2007 roadstar silverado

Gas running out of the carb indicates that the internal float valve is not shutting off the flow when the float bowl fills up. Might need cleaned; might need a new float valve assembly. Not cranking is an electrical problem. If you mean that the engine cranks over but doesn't start - then this could be a related carb problem. Take the bike to a reputable repair center near you.

SOURCE: fuel overflows (leaks) upon turning Roadstar 1700

not a throttle valve, but the float needle valve that shuts the fuel off with the float. the only cure for the sticking floay valve is to remove the carb and clean it.

I have a 2007 Roadstar Silverado 1700 and have a batwing stereo fairing and need to know where to wire the cable for the radio. I would like to make it to where the radio doesn't come on unless the...

The best thing to do is to wire a relay directly to the battery. Wire it also to the ignition wire so the relay engages only when the bike is started (or with the accessory). Additionally you can install a wiring block somewhere inside the batwing in case you want to add something later. Be sure to use the appropriate gauge wiring for the load. You can get the relay (about $10.) from Autozone or Pep Boys, and a wiring block (about $7) from Radio Shack. The instructions on wiring the relay are on the package.
I did this on my Electraglide and it works great. Future additional electric devices will be wired to the block and the cables hidden.
