Used parts such as starters and altinators don't last. It might **** but it sounds like you need to buy a new starter, altinator, and battery. Or just start with buying one at a time.
Testimonial: "kellertech1?? i tried something new.. my batt. was dead after sitting for 5hrs so i jumped it & later unhooked the batt. & hooked the batt. back up next day & car started ok kinda a weak start but started. so can a starter drain a batt or where should i look for a short or could this be a weak batt. that tested good but 2 weak 2 start the car."
the starter cant drain the battery. ive taken my battery to auto zone when my car wouldnt start and the they told me it was at oy percent but it still wouldnt start my car. i got a new one and havent had a problem since. it sounds like u just need a new one
Possibly a bad ignition switch or security system problem. Do you have an aftermarket security system installed, too?
It's the security system. Leave the key in the on position for ten to fifteen minutes & then try to start it. The security system disengages the fuel pump, & you have to do this to reset it. It left me stranded for three days. I changed the starter, alternator, & battery for no reason.
