Hi im mike
my 87 suzuki samurai SE was having trouble with acceleration and i believe i fixed tht problem but then one day after school the suzu wouldn't start. i have gotten to the point where i can start it but as soon as i start it i can't idle i have to put it in first and go and if i accelerate ill stall out, it accelerates on it's own i use the break to control speed and just shift throuth the gears as it accelerates on its own, my popz seems to think its bc the carb is giving too much fuel, (ive always had fuel probs so it wouldnt suprise me) please help any sugestions are appreciated i just need my sammy back on the road
thank you
Hi you got an air leak its the air flow not the fuel that controls the speed too much fuel will cause flooding it wont start because its sucking air and eventually when it does the extra air being sucked in causes it to accelrate you need to lift your bonnet listen for signs of air being sucked in it may be a hose , or inlet manifold gaskets carb gasket it might even be the carb as it will have rubber seals diaphrams i had the mixture jet come out before and the car takes off like a rocket yates210456
