with the ignition off ,use a multimeter set on continuity ( ohms)
place one lead on a wire at the ignition switch and the other end on a wire at the cdi when you have a circuit mark that wire and so on till you have identified all the wires
then turn on the ignition switch ans set the multimeter to volts dc and check which of those wires now has a voltage reading
This actually means RELS which stands for release. There is typically a bad room station that has a broken button, or button stuck. To troubleshoot, remove all black wires from the master unit. Any display of RELS or clicking sound should stop. Add back the black wires one by one until the issue of RELS occurs again. If so, do not attach this wire and hook up all remaining wires. If the user wants to know which room station this is, go from room to room and press the listen button. If the music is muted, the station is good. If the music continues, this is the bad room station. Unfortunately, these room stations are no longer available. Visit our website for replacements parts and products, or if you have more questions.
