SOURCE: How do you set the timing on a 1995 kawasaki zx6?

Timing chain replacement is a bit complex for a beginner. I don't recommend it. However, I would suggest the best way is to have a service manual at hand. Go to this site and you can download a free PDF service manual.www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp
The list of manuals may take 10 to 15 seconds to come up. The 2005 manual (4th from the bottom), is 11MB.

Also, go to the site below where you can see a parts diagram for your specific bike. You will select the actual brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. You can order parts from this site. In the event no price is shown on a particular part and/or the notation "Not Available" is in the description, the part is not in stock. www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrandand/parts.aspx

Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer?

SOURCE: why my 2001 kawasaki ninja

Just a thought, if you are running ethanol fuel it will lower the bikes idle speed. If you run no ethanol fuel your idle speed will go up. Turn your idle screw to raise the idle . Hopefully , your problem is just that simple.

SOURCE: i have a 1993 kawasaki

You need to check the pipes for leaks or if its the gas tank itself you need to weld it(let it dry for at least a week) check the fuse for the gauge or trace the wiring.

Just got off the phone with my service manager at my local Kawasaki dealership. "She" looked up the torque wrench setting for the clutch spring bolts. Its the same as a 2000-2002 ZX6R and 2005-2006 ZZR600.
Torque- Clutch Spring Bolts: 8.8 N-m (0.90 kgf-m, 78 in-lb)

New battery keeps dying in brand new ninja after a day of short riding

Sounds like the charging system isn't doing it's job.

Get a voltmeter across the battery terminals (red to +, black to -).
Start engine, take readings at idle and while revving.

Should read between 13-14 volts.

The Ninja has a fuel pump circuit, have you checked the relay? This is usually the problem, the connector melts or breaks, as you can see here in this picture...also check your fuses. Hope this helps.

Check your battery terminals, make sure they are secure and no movement if loose tighten up. Loose terminals will cause similar responses.

If secure, check out the fuses, make sure all are inplace and again secured. Be carful not to shortout do not use metal objects as probs, if not sure, remove a battery terminal. and while you are at it, carfully check all wiring which is secured by a nut, again make sure all are tight.

You are looking for a loose connection.
