The clutch basket is not fitted properly, the plates sliding in the basket. Take the clutch basket out.Also check the basket nut fitting.Is it got loose.The clutch plates can't freely move back and forth in the basket, causing them to hang up, and therefore this problem occurs.Using the wrong oil, or low quality oil could also be the issue. Start by changing your oil, and while the oil is drained, take the clutch cover off, take the clutch apart and inspect the clutch components for damage, excessive wear, or deposits on the discs and plates. Make sure all the linkage is in proper order too. -------- Also check the Sidestand safety switch if its got loose at the connection under the Side Cover,then this problem is noticed. ------------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.
