Sounds like either the air gap between the a/c clutch and the pulley is to far..Or the clutch itself is bad..You can remove the bolt in the middle of the clutch,,Work the face of the clutch off,,and take out the washer..If there is 2 washers then remove one of them,,and reinstall..If there is only one ,,try it with no washer...The washer adjusts the air gap

2006 Ford Fusion Air Conditioning compressure not turning on.

Thats pretty high if the system is not running. Average pressure on the low and high side should be near outside air temp.
Normal low side is 30-40 psi and high side is 200-250 psi when the system is running and the freon charge is full.

A/c clutch won't engage

Check your a/c fuse first you want to make sure you have power going to the a/c system If your a/c button light is on when you engage it you most likely have power. Second if your a/c system coolant is low of the recomended freon then so the compressor will NOT engage. This is a start!

Ac won't get cold anymore power to compressor but won't click on clutch won't engage possible problems are compressor or evaporator what do you think?

Has the Freon been checked with a gauge to see if there is enough Freon to allow the system to work. Low or no Freon will not allow the compressor to engage. The low pressure switch is most likely activated due to low freon, and will cause this condition.

My a/c on my 2005 Dodge Neon Se won't stay engaged. When turned on the hub/clutch? will engage but only for a second then 3-4seconds later it'll engage again for about a second. It goes through...

If the ac compressor clutch turns on and off constantly, it could be low in freon, make sure it has freon, you can purchase freon cans already set up with a hose and a guage to read your freon pressure
if the freon pressure is normal, check the switch at the accumulator a long cylinder with a switch and a molex with two wires attached to it, with your ac running on high, move your molex it could be making a
bad connection, if the molex is okay, jump out the molex, if the clutch engages and stays running, just
replace the low pressure switch. good luck!

I have a 1996 Taurus with a 3.0L. The A/C does't work at all. This system is fully charged with no leaks. I have also checked the fuses, and they fine. My next thing to check would be the pressue...

The low pressure switch is located near the rear. If you locate the accumulator assy, it is on that line that goes to the firewall to the evaporator, it has two wire to it, if you unplug it and jump the two terminals at the connector the a/c clutch should engage...you can do when car is running, if it does then either you lost your charge or the switch is no good, switches are very rare, if it does not engage, then you either have bad wiring to the a/c clutch or the coil inside the clutch assy is no good and must be replaced...jump the switch and let me know where you stand at that point and i can offer more support

A/c compressor wont kick on

the only other thing in the circuit is the pressure switch...unplug/ jump across the connector of the switch to verify circuit integrity and go from there...sometimes this is neccessary to charge freon fully so compressor will stay running to draw freon in the low side.
