Hi, Dshih04 and the usual suspects are:
1. Low coolant level.
2. Restricted radiator air flow.
3. Faulty thermostat.
4. Coolant pump or fans inoperative.
5. Vent hose crimped.
6. Air in the coolant and needs bleeding.
7. Engine idling too long or bike moving too slow.
8. Coolant too old needs to be replaced.
9. Faulty temperature sensor, wiring or connector.
10. Radiator veins clogged or corroded needs repair
11. Ignition timing retarded.

Could be a few things. If you check radiator fan and its ok move down to the thermal power switch usualy at the bottom of the radiator.Make sure you have power in and out of the swich when the engine is at operating temp.Use a test light/probe easy to use and cheap to buy.If the switch is ok the next step is the relay in the box with lid next to the battery.Sometimes just pulling the relay out and putting back in will fix the problem due to poor contact. To sum up its usualy the thermal temp switch but check every thing else before wasting money on the wrong things.Good luck

Clymer should be able to help you confirm good/bad. Keep the temp sensor jumped out and then try to bypass relay?

SOURCE: Light in refrig not working & blue indicator

your motherboard in the lower rear area of the unit is bad,if you have recently replaced burned out lights in the refrige when these lights burn out it causes a surge on this control board and burns the circuit trace, hint:if you hear a rapid clicking noise in this area of the motherboard its a relay trying to latch,a bad board wont let it latch and the lights will dimly flash in the refrige compartment and the digital read-out may be out too

Why does my engine overheat with AC on?

Does it only overheat on the highway? What about around town at lower speeds. Do the cooling fans kick in when it overheats?
What is the vehicle make/model? More information please...

2001 subaru forester. overheat problems. changed head gaskets, water pump kit (comes with all pulleys and new belt.

make sure the pump it turning. Also be sure your thermostat is not isntalled upside down. That happens you know. Check the waterlevel on your car. be sure your fan is kicking on as the engine heats up. There should be a temp sensor to make it turn on. I think this model has a heaater bypass too to check on which runs the heater around the engine to let it heat up faster.. might check that too. I would check on the backward thermostat forst though.

This isn't the hottest it gets. It goes all the way up to almost the red. It's over heating and we have changed the water pump,

A water pump in itself WILL NOT cause and engine to overheat, if it leaks badly and the coolant level drop very low then this will indirectly cause the engine to run hot or overheat. What I see in the video clip is NOT overheating, the fan doesn't come on until the engine reaches about 230 Degrees Fahrenheit, that is pretty well up about where the needle is in the video, if the cooling fan never kicks on after about 20 minutes of idle or doesn't engage when the AC (this assumes the AC is working)n issue.

Hi, oK ASSUMING THERE IS THE PROPER AMOUNT OF FREON IN THE SYSTEM (2.0 LBS) THE SYSTEM IS PROBABLY LOGIC LOCKED.THIS CAN HAPPEN WHEN THE CADILLACS HVAC CLIMATE CONTROL HEAD GETS CONFUSED,USUALLY AFTER A RECHARGE.HERES WHAT U CAN TRY.REMOVE THE NEG BATTERY CABKE FOR 1 MINUTE,THEN RECONECT IT,START THE CAR AND PUT THE AC ON (60 DEGREES FULL FAN) THAT SHOULD DO THE TRICK HOPEFULLY. THAMKS RAY.

Vehicle overheats easily. Sure it needs either a water pump replacement or a thermostat replacement.

check if the cooling fan cuts in if so see if the radiator is hot? If the rad is not hot probably needs a thermostat if it is hot could be water pump or head gasket

Car gets hot

When the car reaches a preset temp the cooling fan is supposed to energize a realy the turns the cooling fan on....But if you turn the air on you basicly bypass the temp switch because you must have air moving at all times for the ac.. So now i would be looking for a defective temp switch or defective relay.....

Make sure you get the air out. There may be "high spots" on the engine that you can unscrew to let the air pockets t. Close this small valve when just hot water comes out.
Unplug the radiator fan and use jumper leads to test the fan operation. Use a scan tool to check for codes. If you get a scan tool that gives live data, see that the PCM sees the actual temperature of the engine after 5 to 10 minutes of running. It should see the temp. rising to 225 degrees farenheit.
Replace engine temperature sensor if the PCM doesn't recognize the proper temperature. You ARE going to compare this to the temperature gauge!!!
If all else fails, get the PCM recalibrated or flashed at the dealership.

Yes, it can be bypassed. Find the hot lead to the pump and connect a toggle switch from a power source.
