2010 Keeway Outlook 125 Logo
Posted on Sep 08, 2011

Hi, I bought a brand new Keeway Outlook 125 jusy 5 weeks ago. Since I bought i had problems when starting it so they put in a new carburator that had a new automatic choke on it. I still have problems starting and the supplier who sold me the bike said this is noramal for the bike. When I start the bike to warm it up I have to rev it for 30 seconds just to keep it ticking over (sometimes it doesnt even stay ticking over after this period). If it does stay ticking over i leave it warming up for 1 and half or 2 minutes before driving off and a lot of the time the bike cuts out when stopped at traffic lights for the first kilometre or two. I asked for new bike, but supplier said it is normal. Surely this is not normal for a new bike. It is the summer here so the temperature is quite high, and the bike is not starting properly. I know 4 strokes need warming up, but not to this degree, what do you think, thanks

Is it normal that a new bike dies on you as you drive it? No way my friend. The carburetor should have a thermal-choke and it probably needs some adjustment.

SOURCE: 2 stroke engine smokes. how do you adjust the fuel/oil mixture?

The thing with two strokes is that they smoke a bit under normal operation, and they smoke like mad if they haven't really been run for a period of time, I would advise you to run it for a while and see if that helps.

You should not need to adjust the mixture settings at all.

Hope this helps

SOURCE: my keeway wont start

Check the fuses. Is the kill switch on or shorting out? Disconnect it and then check for spark. Sidestand/centerstand should be up, Got a good battery?

I am unfamiliar with your Keeway and just trying to help. Don't give me a bad rating if I miss the mark on this one. Thanks.

SOURCE: keeway superlight 125 adjusments

Pull the slide out of the carb then move the clip on the jet needle down one or two notches. This will richen the low range fuel mix. You can also get a rear sprocket with about 4 more teeth. This will get you off the line and out of the corners faster BUT it will also lower your top speed.

Please rate this solution. Thanks supergunner!

SOURCE: I Have a Keeway Supershadow

One of two: Your battery is totally dead (very common in the winter if you left it on the floor), or your bike could be facing problems with the charger system.

Go to this page:

KEEWAY SUPERLIGHT BATTERY

and us the translator. There you have tips and the electric diagram of the Keeway Superlight.
Good Luck.

How to chane battery on keeway outlook 125

You have to remove the lid that covers the battery on the floor of the scooter. There are only two screws to be removed and the battery is exposed.
