We are looking for mt01 starter motor on service guide we found part number 5YU/MORIC no parts aveilable in Europe according with yamaha service how to find it?

These parts are fairly reliable. Rather than buying new, you should be able to pick one up from a motorcycle breaker who will post it to you. I would expect to pay about £60-£100 tops in the UK (Depending on mileage). ANy Yamaha dealer will be happy to order you one new, but they are a hell of a price!

Find an online dealer with microfiche available and check the parts numbers. The virago starter can be looked up at babbittsonline.com. ( starter 2UJ-81890-00-00 , USA model) The dragster is probably an identical model. Now all you need is the dragster part number .

Starter spins freely, will not engage
there is a coil that pushes starter out to engage it to flywheel and a motor part that turns it. check to se if the coil part is good or hooked up.
