No spark, replaced cdi.Now I get a nice bright spark. Engine starts but no power and misfires. Seems like the timing is not quite right. Is it possible to may be adjust ignition sensors to correct the timing? If not what else can be done?

If you really suspect the timing is out, use a timing light to check, before adjusting anything.
What else happened when it initially stopped with no spark?

Just would not start with no spark.Found out that there is no means of adjusting the timing on this bike. It's electronically set and controlled in the cdi unit. The new cdi unit I put in is not from Keeway but from a manufacturer of cdi units who told that the cdi part number XV250 2UJ was good for a Keeway Cruiser.I suspect the cdi unit. It seems to be firing not at the begining of power stroke but part of the way into it.

Ok that makes more sense, you will need the correct CDI.
The ignition triggers from a pulse coil down off the flywheel, and the ignition timing cant really change unless the flywheel has come loose, this is the same with most bikes since the 1980's except the few that may still have points. Sometimes the pulse coil will have slotted screws to allow small adjustments to air gap and timing but is best left at factory settings.
The cdi units control the ignition advance and ignition curve

Yamaha G1 Golf cart...Engine does not crank when key is on and gas pedal is depressed... suggestion??.. I've heard that the CDI might be the issue...Discontinued part?

cranking is turning over which indicates that the battery and starter is doing the job
cranking but not firing indicates ignition or fuel problems
now that you have the correct terminology perhaps you can get an answer
first test is to pull a plug ground it out or use a spark plug tester crank it over to see if there is spark
Good spark forget CDI and coil so look at fuel
NO spark indicated , check for 12 volts from the ignition switch on the start circuit
Ignition switches have to power wires to the coil
on gives power when cranking and the other continues power when the starter is nor engaged
power in both positions move on to next check
no power from the switch to the coil when cranking --get new switch next check if both wires have 12 volts is the ignition circuit
check for safety micro switches not working right up to the CDI
power to the CDI but no spark --replace cdi
power from the cdi nut still no spark --replace the coil
AS to not available
check after marker as the units are generic and made by electronic companies not golf cart manufacturers so it is a distinct possibility that a cdi from some where else will fit

What are the signs of spark plug cables in bad condition or leaking

If the spark plug fires at the wrong time, this could lead to constant rattling, pinging or knocking sounds. Hard vehicle start. If your car is having trouble starting or just feels disjointed and jerky, your spark plugs may not be working right, and this can lead to misfires and erratic performance.

4 Signs You Need to Replace Your Spark Plugs

· Rough Idling. If you notice that your engine seems excessively loud while you are sitting at a stoplight or stop sign, your spark plugs may be to blame.
· Engine Misfires.
· Surging and Lagging.
· Reduced Fuel Efficiency.

My check engine light came on and the motor seems to be shaking? I drive about 30min to work and about 30min home, so I'm not sure if I will have time to take it in before I go to work? What seems to...

It is most likely a misfire, especially if the engine light starts flashing. Most misfires are due to the secondary ignition system wearing out (spark plugs and wires). I would replace the spark plug wires first as they are the more common cause, but it's a good idea to replace the plugs too.
**Note - if the engine light is flashing, it indicates catalyst damage at that time. Driving a vehicle for prolonged periods with the engine misfiring will result in catalytic converter damage.

Intermittent misfiring

Had the same thing. The didtributor was going bad. Lived with it for a few months finally it died. 1 year after replacing the distributor the problem started again. Glad I got a warranty on the distributor. Running great now on the second distributor.

BIKE IS NOT CHARGING,DOES THE CDI BOX HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE CHARGING SYSTEM ?WHAT SHOULD i CHECK?

Hi bradley
The CDI box is the Capacitor Discharge Ignition system for creating spark at the spark plug and does not charge the battery. When you say it is not charging, are you able to measure the voltage across the battery with the engine running at 2500 rpm. If it is charging it will run to at least 14.5 volts. The headlamp should also be nice and bright, and a noticeable increase in brightness when revs are lifted from idle.
If it does not, then you have a problem with the bikes alternator, or the regulator that controls the charge rate. Also check the fuses for failures, and general tightness of the battery connections and wiring about the battery and frame earth. If it appears to be charging, but the batt always seems to not be taking a charge and flat, then the battery itself may be the problem. They dont last forever and can often be the source of "no charging" issues.
Let me know how many volts you have at the batt terminals with the engine running.

2004 F150 5.4L engine misfire

The concern is likely caused by the coil which sits on top of the spark plug. Your P0301 indicated misfire on cylinder 1. Your P0316 indicated it occurs on the first 1000 revolutions. Your P0171 indicated lean on bank one. Bank one includes cylinders 1,2,3 and 4. Your lean code is strange but could be related to misfire. I would recommend swap the coil on number one with number two. Clear the code and drive it. I would expect to see a P0302 which indicates the misfire traveled with bad coil. good luck.
