Similar to bleeding brakes, pump up the lever, then let the fluid out down at the slave cylnder at the bleed nipple.
May need to turn the bars or lean the bike so ther is no high point at the first banjo bolt on the clutch cylnder.
Its common for the slave cylnder seal to wear out, and this causes fluid loss and air back into the system

No this didn't help I found out its common when you take off the hydraulic clutch from the chain cover it can sometimes get sure in pump at the handle so all you do is use the brake bolt at the handle bars as a bleed to get the air out of there first then down at the bleeder on the clutch it works perfect.

Hydro clutch

There is no adjustment on the hydraulic clutches...if it drags, bleed the system and check slave piston for leaks...if it slips, check that the piston in the slave isn't sticking...if that's ok check the friction plates for wear.

Clutch goes to the floor when pressed

This sounds like you have no pressure in the clutch hydraulics. If the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder are the original ones, they probably need to be replaced. Bleeding the hydraulic system may help for a short while, but if these are the original parts, they need to be replaced.

I have a 1997 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 A, not the classic. Last week my clutch started losing its tension, I got on the bike the other day and put it in first and it "jumped" forward and shut off! Now I cant...

Your bike has a hydraulic clutch with a master cylinder at the clutch lever. Remove the cap and I think you will see there is little or no fluid in the reservoir. You need to fill it up then bleed the system to remove air in the line. This is done the same a bleeding brakes on a car. If I recall correctly, the bolt that holds the hydraulic hose to the master cylinder acts as a bleeder for the cylinder and there will be a bleeder valve at the other end of the hose to bleed the hose and actuator.
