This information does not answer my question. I need to know the routing/attachment locations of all fuel lines on a 1981 Honda CX500 custom.

Has anyone gotten my emails concerning location of fuel lines? What I have received from you I have already seen on other web sites, this does not show the location of all fuel lines! I am not happy with your support so far.E-mail me and at least let me know you received this.

I have been to this sight also. It still does not show the location of all fuel lines. I need to know how many fuel lines are there and there location. Example: what goes into and to where does it go on each carb, there is a nipple for fuel lines on the inside of each carb. what are they for. do these connect together from carb to carb? I need to know how many and where do all the fuel lies connect.

Hi.

Honda did not publish a "diagram" mapping the fuel lines. Such a thing does not exist. The fuel lines are however illustrated in the "engine" and "fuel system" chapters of the service manual and fuel line routing is clearly shown in the procedures to disassemble the different parts. I have uploaded the full service manual at the link below. The original was in paper. Check chapter 6, chapter 4 and chapter 2.9.

Here the full service manual, the file is in Zip format.

Regards.

Ginko

Fuel leak cx500

there are orings, you need to unbolt the carbs apart. you might have to synch the carbs afterwards. you might as well try and get a rebuild kit and clean all the jets and replace all the rubber parts in the carbs.

How do i remove the seat on a 1981 Honda cx500?

The deluxe model has two latches one on either side of the seat, if you flip both levers at the same time and lift, the seat will come off. The custom model has two bolts that hold the seat down, near the back, one on each side. Remove the side covers, take off the seat bolts and lift the back of the seat pulling toward the rear of the bike.
