Changing the clutch fluid in my 91 gixxer 1100.
note: use an neoprene tube that fits on the clutch bleeder screw an a glass jar with other end of tube coverd in brake fluid so not to let air get back in system
Pump / release clutch slowly for not to spill out of res while bleeding/ flushing old fluid out
Keep the res full so not to let air in system by adding fresh fluid
How do I add a new motorcycles wire harness
Hi. To fit a new wire harnes is a fairly straight forward job if you still have the old one fitted, the main difficulty is getting the route correct so if you place the new one alongside the old harness, disconnect te battery, do not rush the job work in one area at a time reconecting all the disconnected wires from the old harness with the new, this will ensure you have not left any wires disconnected, and when finnished reconnect the battery live first followed by the earth wire.
Old dry and cracked
We REALLY need more details to answer anything, but It sounds like you may be referring to tires. if so, they must be replaced, tubes also.
Engine hard to start gets hot and no power checked
fouled spark plugs...intake manifold leak... you could have a vacuum line come off or isnt on all the way. bad batch of gas..weak coils, or poor compression. or the choke could not be operating properly. also running too heavy an oil could cause this problem, you should run 10w40 only.
1985 gs 550 l starter clutch replacement
yes,,, drop it in the repair shop it the easy way forwards, but if cash is tight, go and buy a repair book for your bike but you will still need tools to do the job right, and its not easy to do,,, get a pall to do it for you???? and give him a drink for it?
How do i fit a honda 250 rectifier to a suzuki
I recommend soldering all the wire needed, only then wrapping it with insulating tape, and above all that, a shrinkable insulating sleeve.
Good soldering will minimize voltage loss along the line and will prevent "hot spots" along the wire.
Fuse blowing = total electrical failure
Track ALL the wiring there is a short somewhere. It may be inside a bundle. Apower wire is most likely touching a ground source. Bad switches can cause this as well.
How do you bleed the clutch i gravity bled it and
i think you have air traped somewhere these things are a devil to bleed. you will have to use a power bleeder which is simply a small hand vac pump put on your bleed screw to **** fliuid and air out of the system. this the best way i know of and will save you a lot of grief
Mud stain
depends on what material is stained..
Aluminium stains can be very tricky to get clean if not impossible...some cleaners will also cause a orange/reddish stain wich will not come out unless you use some harsh chemicals to get them out. problem is it's hard to get to those chemicals.
IF you happen to have a truck wash nearby where they wash the big trucks (18 wheelers)take your parts there and tell them to use some brightener on it , it's a chemical that really cleans aluminium.it may cost you a little bit of money but that stuff really works and i haven't been able to find that stuff for private sale anywhere.
the number 2 reasons for stains on the bike are :
1) waiting to long to wash the bike , some types of sand/mud especially the red dirt we have down south here will stain a bike if you leave it on the bike , not only that it dries as hard as concrete and is very difficult to remove , so was your bike ASAP.
2) washing chemicals. Some chemicals / soaps when they are left too long on aluminium will leave stains as it reacts with the aluminium , these stains are almost impossible to get out.
