hello. now you are making me think about something that i have not thought about in many years.

the engine dies due to (what seems to be) the clutch not fully releasing. When the engine is started it is OK. The driver clutch has about 2500 miles on it since new last summer and has been lubricated within the last 1000 miles. This doesn't happen all the time only once in a while. Any ideas??? The problem is in the drive clutch. It needs to be checked out. Sounds like a lose bushing in one or more of the torque pins holes.,,,

I am already turning heads. My question is about the pipes getting hot. Mine appears to have a type of guard but I can still feel the heat through my jeans. Any ideas? I want to be able to take my daughter for short rides but am afraid she might get her leg burned. I know I will have tons of other questions soon. ThanksI have the heat shield on my bike, and it has made a world of difference. Is yours installed in the right place? When I first put mine on, I could still feel heat, then I moved it forward on the pipe, and it works great now.,,,

you will need to smash the rivets or you will loose the link for sure. It takes a special tool that I'm sure you don't have. The correct master link should be available locally. I have just checked our inventory and can only find the clip style links. If we sent you the rivet style it must have been the last one. We have plenty clip style links here but Tuesday is the best we can do now for shipping. I apologize for not sending the clip style. I'll check on how that happened.,

my top speed was 53 mph. I live at 130 feet above sea level and the passes we went over were around 5400 and 4000 feet. The other riders figured it was the carb. I agreed but wonder if this is just the way it is going to be for my 2006 Ridley on the passes or is there something that can be done so I get normal performance and speeds all the time no matter the elevation? Once again the Ridley was the center of attention at every stop we made even with my fellow riders who were on BMW's and Harley's. I forgot my chicken feed but I never get tired of talking about my Ridley (your Ridley). Prior to this ride of 400 miles 90 miles was my longest round trip. I feel like a changed person. I'm the guy with MS and when I got home I had this calm yet confident feeling that I didn't have when I left. My Harley riding friend with 30+ years of riding did not need an explanation when I talked to him this afternoon. I was pretty sore this morning but went for a long walk to pick up my youngest at school, sort of similar to the light workouts on Sunday's following college football games some 24 year ago, and I feel just fine this evening. If you will be at higher elevations more than lower you could jet the carburetor for better high altitude performance. Fuel injected engines have a computer that adjusts fuel flow as the altitude changes.,,,

There are 2 fuses under the seat thats about it google the owners manual its available :)

Doesn't sound like the bike is charging your battery. Check the voltage regulator and the stator.

u cant tighten it, you'll have to replace it if there is over 1" of play. My guess is it wasnt tracking straight. U may need to shim the engine sproket so the belt trachs slightly away from the block

FYI, the flywheel is the problem why its not charging the battery. If you can re attach the magnets you won't spend at all for a new flywheel.

In my limited experience the handlebar wiring usually can't be unplugged but has to be disconnected from the handlebar controls and unthreaded from the handlebar.
