I had a friend with a similar problem. Is the check engine light on? The click might be a faulty relay, but often these aren't loud enough to hear, so it might be something else. Next time it does this, remove the seat and see if you can't identify what piece is clicking. Or if you have a CEL you can try pulling the code to get something definitive.

Could be loads of things to be honest, Rectifier, Magneto, poor ground the list goes on and on, you need to take it to a shop or test just about everything electrical to do with the ignition section, probably starting with the rectifier.

will it not start, or has no power? Or do you mean power as in electricity? It is very hard to diagnose when such vague questions are used. if it can start and run, but performs poorly, check to see it the spark plug cap hasn't rattled loose, or that the plug isn't cracked or otherwise unserviceable. If you mean it has no electrical power, check the fuses and battery terminals and they may have been knocked out of place.

I'd love to help, but every one of your questions is vague or nonsense. 1. What is NOC? if you mean NO2(or NOS) then you can get it at most car tuning shops or are friends with a Dentist. 2. Which indicator is not working, there are lots of kinds, and since you didn't post your model, I don't even know what indicators you have. 3. Low power is a VERY vague description of performance and could be any number of things depending on model, age, and mileage. if you do use NO2 that is likely the reason for poor performance as it destroys piston rings and scratches up cylinder walls and thus ruins compression. Age and mileage could do this also. additionally since you are asking if you need to replace the oil I can assume that you have never done it since you purchased the bike, which means the damage is likely already done. Oil in virtually every bike ever made needs the oil changed every three months of riding, or twice a year if not riding often. One inexpensive thing you can try is changing the spark plug(s), if they/it is old it could cause weak ignition and thus lower power output. my recommendation is with as many issues as you are having is that you take it to a shop for a full check-up. hope that helped.

Depending on the type of carb you have you can change metering rods or orifice in the low speed jetting.

Find out what your coil voltage is and tests and see if you're getting the right amount of voltage to the coil and from the coil when it's on and if you're going to need it when it's off the first thing you need is a wiring schematic for 1982 sportster or you could just replace the wires if there be original wires and the coil packs if the be

A partially plugged exhaust will cause it to overheat and lose power. When it stalls, do you still have spark? An ignition coil may fail hot, look for a crack in the plastic.

Your bike is something of a classic and you could find more specialised information on an appropriate bike forum. Presumably it has an ignition module of some sort and with the aid of a wiring diagram all the cables and voltages and connections to and from it should be checked for cleanliness, continuity and power as appropriate. The module connections on my CX500 had corroded and needed a thorough clean.

Dead battery. Recharge or get a new one.

What's the make, model and year? It may be as simple as a low charge on the battery. If it has been sitting a while then the battery may have enough juice to power the lights and instruments, but it may not supply enough power to the starter which requires a lot of amperage. Most parts stores will test your battery for free. I had a Yamaha Vstar Classic which has a starter clutch issue where the starter becomes jammed and requires pretty serious surgery to repair.

You need a new battery if it wont power up it means the battery wont take/hold charge

Is your battery fully charged? If you have two wave runners, switch the computer from one to the other and try again.
