frankly if it were mine and if runs great now then let it run .. the leaner the mixture the hotter the combustion which can burn valves. it might get better mileage after break-in but if 40 is what you got then 40 might be all you get.. Thats about what my vulcan gets. if you want really high MPG then you have to sacrifice speed .. a moped will get around 70MPG but it's not much fun and has no power to get out of the path of danger

Wiring under the seat, broken wires or a connector came apart. Possibly bulbs but unlikely. Check with a meter or a wire and the battery.

Hi, please double check that all the parts your replaced are compatible with your vehicle. Compatibility would be the only thing that I can think of. You might want to have a mobile mechanic diagnose the issue as well so they can see everything firsthand.
