How do you change clutch lever

Your clutch lever is held on by a simple nut and shoulder bolt. To take the lever off you first have to loosen the nut on the underside of the lever perch. Once the nut is taken off you just need to use the appropriate screw driver or spanner to remove the shoulder bolt from the top. Now loosen up the cable adjuster and pull the lever out of the slot spinning it backwards. Be careful not to lose the bushing in the lever. It is replaceable in case the lever gets sloppy in the perch. you should now be able to slide the ball end of the cable out of the lever slot.

I was made aware that the yamaha 650 Silverado,

The only problem in getting the carbs in sync is a poor service department. Contact the area manager for Yamaha and request he arrange to have a competent shop sync the carbs. The main additive causing problems is the ethanol alcohol. It tends to corrode valves, carb fittings and jets. Be pro-active and put an octane booster in the tank when filling it. This will greatly lessen the problems you are having. Legal action is useless simply because the problem is due to the USA requirements for fuel. That is the mitigating factor which Yamaha has no control over and as such, relieves Yamaha from liability. You said, " Not one time did the salesperson actually point out the true nature of the Yamaha warranty '. As a responsible consumer the same must be said of yourself. " Not one time did I actually ask the true nature of the Yamaha warranty. " Yes, I know that what I have said is hard to hear, but as a consumer, the responsibility falls on you. " Cleaveat Emptor " is Latin for " Let the buyer beware ". Get the bike running then sell it or trade it for a bike that, after researching the other brands, better fits your needs. Don't let this problem consume your life. Chalk it up to experience, let it go, and move on with your life. Blessings and best wishes.

The speedometer light is not working why not

It has either blown or slipped out of its holder. Get yourself a manual and disassemble it. You should be able to change the globe relatively easily, but before you do that, just make sure all the fuses are OK. :D

Gas cap... when you put the key in the gas cap,

Try Pushing down on the gas cap the same time you turn the key. If that doesn't work then you will have to try and get the key tumbler out of the cap to get to the locking mechanism and take the cap off. Once you do this you will have to get a new gas cap.

How many engine oil quarts require my vstar

New oil (5 US quarts, 20w40, for motorcycles with wet clutches. Despite the bike, this does NOT generally include V-Twin oil, which is designed for bikes with separate engine and transmission oil, typically. This can greatly effect clutch and transmission efficiency and functionality.)

Riding a 2007 650 vstar encountered some

Stars seem prone to fuel system issues, mine keeps me amused with its antics. I usually take it for a good romp now and then to show it who's boss.
I'd suggest changing gas stations to avoid the ethanol additive which causes gumming up of some fuel lines, disintegration of others and somehow manages to hydrate the gasoline to where it burns irregularly. Additives will be your salvation if you can't escape the ethanol.

I have a 2007 v star 1100 silverado and i'm not

I would hate to think a bike that new would already have the start going out. Nine out of ten times when your bike won't start, it is the battery. Test it with a meter to make sure you have a good charge, I mean like 12.7 volts. It could also be a side stand switch, or wiring. Charge your battery if it isn't above 12 volts. Also when you put your bike up for the winter, either remove your battery or charge it every thirty days. This is another problem when your bike sets all winter, your batterys life gets zapped if not properly taken care of, it might not be right away, but hope this helps.
