I keep fouling plugs on my 2005 vstar 1100 classic tried going a step hotter but they still foul after a very short time? exhaust is open was that way when I bought it

Just a thought. is your air filter clean? A dirty filter will make it burn more fuel and cause the plugs to foul.Is your choke working properly? Both of these will foul plugs and use more fuel.

How do I adjust a new clutch cable on a 2005 Yamaha v star 1100?

The normal method is once the cable is lubed and located at the engine and lever ends, the cable adjusters at both ends need to be adjusted to give the correct inner cable slack. I normally apply grease to the outer sheath metal crimps (this ensures they move in the adjusters). I then make sure the engine end adjuster has a small amount of clearance between it and the clutch rod. The final adjustments are then made using the cable adjusters at the lever and engine ends. You need to have about 10mm free play at the lever end. Check the manufacturers hand book for the exact dimension. Please make sure you route the cable the same as the old one, also when you pull in the lever it should close quite sharply when released. If it returns slowly or is stiff to operate then recheck cable route and try adding more lube to the inner cable.

Gd evening. my motorcle stall @ 60 miles per hour then doesnt drop below 50 miles per hour wen riding on interstate. change fuel filter, gas. blew it out on highway it picked up normal speed for about

Well, it seems you were looking at the wrong gauge... Speed doesn't matter, but rpms MIGHT matter. Next time this happens pay attention to the bikes behavior relative to the tach. The next thing I would do is make sure the plugs are fresh. It's a cheap shot at the fish in the barrel, but if that doesn't take care of it chances are you have a carb problem and that will need to be taken apart, cleaned, checked, and set up properly. I only recommend changing the plugs first as a proper carb job can be daunting for a novice.

I got power to coil nothing comes out of coil

if you have power to the coil the only things that can be wrong are: - 1. the coil is duff. 2. The HT lead is broken. 3. the plug cap is duff, broken. Remove plug cap and see if there is a spark from the wire core when the lead is placed near the engine/frame. If it sparks OK replace the plug cap,. no spark means either the coil or the lead are duff. If you can replace the lead try testing again without the cap. Hope this helps.

Starter stays engaged

It sounds like you may have a bad "Starter Clutch." This is not cheap to replace, so I hope I'm wrong. B)

Need a good starter clutch vstar xvs1100a 2005

Are you saying you missed an oil change, and they won't fix the starter problem? Sounds like I would find another place to take the bike and see if they will fix it under warranty.

My front brake is to sensitive on my 2005 v star 1100

The brakes on this machine is not normally that sensitive. Check the Front Brake pads and make sure the Calipers aren't leaking Brake fluid on them. Brake fluid on Brake pads makes them VERY grippy.

Speedo needle does not work

Either your speedo cable has come loose at one end or the other, or broken inside it's protective sheathing or the speedo itself could be bad. I would check both ends first make sure they are attached properly. If so and still not fixed I imagine a new cable is cheaper than a new speedo so I would start there first. and lastly if still not working replace the speedo.
